Local Area and Attractions: Your holiday home is within a 5 minute drive of the town of Corridonia where believe it or not you are lucky enough to find one of the few racecourse tracks they have in Le Marche - imagine what a night of fun. In Corridonia itself find the Parish Art Collection which houses Carlo Crivelli's Madonna with Suckling Child but look out for the dedicated monument to Filippo Corridoni, situated at the top of the town, which was built in the 1930s to honour a local First World War hero and this was when the town, which was previously known as Pausola, was renamed Corridonia. It is a bustling town which still holds the traditional charms of an Italian village. The local people spend their days around the town, the old men play their card games at the local bars with their childhood friends whilst the women are either working on the land or preparing the pasta lunch for the family. The welcome book found at your villa is essential reading to truly make the most of everything on offer locally.

Getting here: Le Marche is served well by several UK airports. The nearest airport, being less than 1 hours drive from your villa, is Ancona, flying with Ryanair from Stansted. The villa, however, is also within easy reach of Bologna (approx. 2.5 hrs drive), Perugia, Pescara (both approx. 2 hrs drive) & Rome (approx. 3 hrs. drive), Also fly to Rimini (approx 1.5hrs drive) from East Midlands. For Bologna Ryanair flying from Dublin & Stansted.For Pescara - Ryanair flying from Liverpool & Stansted.For Rome - Ryanair, BA from Heathrow & Gatwick, Ryanair from Stansted,, Luton, Dublin, Glasgow, East Midlands, Nottingham E & Shannon. Driving - Ancona is approx. 950 miles from Calais. It is a very straightforward journey with as you can imagine stunning scenery along the way so why not do an overnight stop and make the journey part of your holiday.

Beaches: Le Marche truly has everything! Although your local beach at Civitanova is less than 30 minutes drive away why not spend a day at the popular seaside holiday resort of San Benedetto Del Tronto with its 8km of sandy beach with palm trees actually growing in the sand. An elegant resort during the day and as you can imagine in the height of summer, a lively, bustling place with a fun night-life, when the sun goes down - approx 1 hrs. drive from your villa. Let's not forget the famous Velvet Beach at Senigallia. This town has been awarded the prestigious Blue Flag due to the clean and safe bathing and quality of service it provides, take in the splendid fortress here built in 1480 or perhaps go shopping for your supper at the daily fish and vegetable market - but be sure to be early to beat the Italians - their fame for their love of food is not unjustified! I have mentioned just a couple - you must read the welcome book where you will find a vast amount of info on local beaches.

Le Marche has much to tempt you from the prime position of your villa. Take in the University town of Macerata, built between 16th & 19th Century - only 8 kms away. Join the Italians, dress up & take your seats at the Neo-classical open-aired opera house. Sip a cocktail after having wandered through the cobbled streets designer shopping. Though Le Marche is never over-crowded find total tranquility dipping your feet in the refreshing crystal clear waters of the lakes in the Sibillini mountains offering some of the most breathtaking scenery in the whole of central Italy, appreciate the snowy peaks from Winter to early Spring or be more adventurous go mountain biking, horse-riding, climbing..! Too energetic? then just make the most of the glorious beaches on your doorstep. From the sandy beach at Civitanova, a 30mins drive away or the cosmopolitan beach of Porto Sant Elpidio savour the traditional Italian fish dishes served with the most delicious local wine, child & wallet friendly!

Golf: Golf Course at Conero. This is a championship par 71 course and a real challenge to golfers of all levels. 5629 metres featuring dog legs, many bunkers, much water and the occasional island green. Do note you may be required to present your club handicap certificate at reception prior to paying for your round. The Golf course is near the beach of Sirolo so for the non-golfers why not slope off to the beach meeting up afterwards for all the tall tails of the day.

Notes

Your holiday runs from Saturday to Saturday arriving at 4.00 p.m & departure by 10.30 a.m. to enable cleaning and preparation of the villa for the next clients. The cost of electricity, cooking gas & bathroom towels is included but please bring your own pool towels. Your beds will be made up for your arrival and a mid-stay clean is included for a 2 week holiday. which includes a change of bed sheets/pillow cases and a general clean through. The pool will also be cleaned weekly. As is normal a security deposit of £500 (500 pounds) is payable in advance to cover damage and will be refunded (less any costs of repair) after a final inspection has taken place and within 14 days of the completion of your holiday.
To confirm a booking a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost of the holiday is payable within 5 days of reservation. The full balance is due 8 weeks before arrival date. For bookings less than 8 weeks before arrival the full balance must be paid on booking. The owners do not accept liability for damage to person or property so please ensure you have fully comprehensive holiday insurance. You are responsible that the villa is left in the same state of cleanliness & repair as found. Any loss or damage to the property of fixtures/fittings will be deducted from your deposit or if required an additional charge will be made to yourselves if the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit.
This superb villa is available for primarily holiday rental throughout the year. We administer the bookings on behalf of the Italian owner and are pleased to answer any queries you may have prior to booking your holiday. The owner has taken great pride in ensuring the villa caters for your every need and we know you will not be disappointed, he has even taken it upon himself to provide you with a welcome pack including that all important bottle of wine. The villa is available for long term lets and short breaks - price on application. For winter breaks the cost of heating is not included - again details on request. The second family bathroom is located downstairs where you will find the other shower cubicle, toilet, sink and bidet. Again immaculately presented, all white and conveniently placed downstairs - no need to form a queue for the bathroom or wander into someone else's bedroom to get to the bathroom and of course particularly suitable for young children/infants.You could always take a hot shower outside of course, knowing you are totally secluded and unoverlooked as long as the other members of your party have been fore-warned. Have a dip in the pool first then take your morning shower outside.Bathroom towels have been provided for the duration of your stay BUT PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN POOL TOWELS.

You come to realise upstairs is just as imposing as the rest of the house. Each bedroom has the facility of playing separate music so there will be no conflict of interest between the different members of the party. From the two twin rooms each has locable patio doors so you can wander out on to the exceptionally large balcony which overlooks the glorious pool and gardens. From here take in the rolling countryside knowing you are completely secluded. From the balcony why not enjoy your breakfast, sipping your morning coffee perhaps enjoying a local Italian pastry safe in the knowledge you can always work it off in the pool! Each bedroom will be made up for your arrival with mattress and pillow protectors, quality bedding and anti-allergy pillows! A cot is available at no extra charge and includes bed linen.

From the tendered vegetable patch why not pick the ingredients fresh for your supper or maybe you need some olives to finish off that perfect dry Martini. The more energetic members of the party are catered for with the outside grass volleyball court where it has been placed far enough away from the pool so as not to disturb the peace of those recovering from maybe one or two too many Martinis. You can wander out on to the lawn from the patio doors and take in the true tranquility of it all. The evenings will be spent relaxing by the pool, having a BBQ and sharing a few bottles of wine as the sun goes down. This is the time to truly appreciate the beauty of the gardens which are fully illuminated so you can even watch the sun come back up again from the verandah or maybe you feel like forgetting all your troubles whilst lounging on the hammock - you know you can always find a spot to get away from it at this villa.
