Notes: HEATING - The property has within the price both Gas Central Heating as well as a large log burning fire in the main lounge, that always has a good log supply available for clients to use. PARKING - Private parking for 2 small cars or 1 medium vehicle. Free extra private parking is available 100m away in a private parking area for larger vehicles or more than 2 cars. Last 100 metres of the road is a single track asphalt road & can seem tight at first however, if you drive slowly you will be fine with any size vehicle.

The Perfect Family Break

The house was beautiful, weather was great, local shops very useful. (especially Conads, a little supermarket even open on Sunday mornings) Bagni Di Lucca is a beautiful setting and the surrounding villages are great for days out, particularly Montefagetesi, great bar, interesting owner! The house is in a great spot, so close to the centre however feels as though you are out in the country side. This is the first property we have ever stayed in that really did feel like home. The house was clean, well appointed and comfortable.Lovely garden and pool area. The owners were friendly and helpful.

Winter in Tuscany

Myself and 7 ladies have just spent 5 days at Villa Rossa and we had a wonderful time. The villa was well appointed and was remarkably cosy when the fireplace and heaters were in full swing. The location was perfect as we could easily walk to the local shops and restaurants whilst also having a lovely backdrop to look out to.

We arranged a cooking lesson in the villa and the kitchen more than met the demands of 7 wannabe cooks.

Joanna and Antonio were always freindly and helpful. Leda at the local tourist office was also invaluable in helping to arrange taxis and beauty treatments at the local spa.

All in all a lovely Tuscan break - thanks Joanna and Antonio!

winter tuscan vacation

We have just had a fantastic holiday at Villa Rossa. The property is completed to a really high standard & the photos did do not do it justice. It was spotless, clean and tidy the 2 kitchens had everything in them you could want in a rental and then some.

Jo & Antonio met us on the first day to introduce themselves they went through some basic information so we could get the best from the Villa & the area. This was really useful & meant that we could navigate ourselves around quicker it was also good to know they were only 15 mins away if we needed them. We also had an opportunity to ask questions & their advice on things we wanted to see and do. They were full of local knowledge & helped us get the most from our stay.

The garden is just beautiful. We spent many a day in it listening to the river in the distance & enjoying the wildlife around. The deer that visit the land at the back of Villa were a source of wonderment for us many evening. We loved the location with it's easy access to all amenities & highly recommend Circolo dei Forestieri for special occasion events.

The location is perfect for visiting Florence, Lucca, Siena & the Cinque Terre, (try getting the boat from Viareggio it was great)

The tourist information is only a 2 min walk from the Villa so any time we wanted to ask more we spoke with Leda who was really helpful & full of information.

We would highly recommed Villa Rossa to anyone wanting to visit Tuscany & will definatley be visiting here again. See you again in 2011 Jo & Antonio!.

Thank you for providing such a comfortable and lovely venue in which to relax and explore the surrounding countryside. Thanks for the recommendations enjoyed everything and will miss the wine & ice-cream especially. The Villa is fantastic and has everything you need to sample true Tuscan life. My personal favourite is the blood orange or the chilli pepper double choc!. You can sample great wines here, at either the local restaurants or at the wineries nearby we always recommend a visit to the Strada del Vino (road of wine) that runs from Montecarlo to Lucca. Not forgetting our local wine shop in the centre where you can buy wines from all over Italy to sample as part of your holiday or to take home as gifts. We stayed at Villa Rossa while our house in the area was being refurbished for a family reunion. The villa was perfect, well appointed with enough space for a large family group like ours. The kids loved the toys, DVD's and games that came in handy on some of the rainy days. Being centrally located we enjoyed being able to walk to all the facilities. We would recommend a visit to the outdoor pool and our favourite Pizzaria in Bennabio, L'Aquolina in Bocco. (mouthwatering)

The location of the Villa does make it ideal for those not wanting to have to drive in order to get to restaurants & shops, as the centre is only a short walk away. Voted one of the best pizzerias in the area L'Aquolina in Bocco is one of our personal favourites & the views of Bagni di Lucca centre on the drive home in the evening are really stunning.
