Cozy, Clean Cobble Hill Brownstone

We stayed here for 8 nights. It is located right on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, but very quiet inside. It is a very dark space, reconfigured from the photos on the website, and there are shutters on the front windows, probably were installed as to make it more quiet inside. The mattress is extremely comfortable, and with it being so quiet and dark, I slept like a rock every night. The gas stove is very nice, but there were no condiments provided, not even salt and pepper. The selection of cooking utensils is kind of sparse, but she had a nice Mundial chef's knife. If you're planning on doing any cooking, you might want to bring some things with you from home. There is a grocery store around the corner and tons of restaurants in the area. The shower had great pressure and abundant hot water. We heard the neighbors above us a couple of times, but for the most part it was very quiet. Another bonus was the Direct TV service on two nice flat screen televisions (we don't have cable at home so we did take advantage of it). The distance from the subway station is about a 10 minute walk through beautiful neighborhoods of brownstones, and in between are streets full of shops, cafés and restaurants. It is a very international neighborhood and we didn't even scratch the surface in the week we were there. Keow was an excellent hostess, responding immediately to texts and emails at all hours. She also arranged for a car service to take us to LGA and let us leave our bags in the room after the 1 p.m. checkout time. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Keow's place to anyone looking for a clean and reasonably-priced place in a very charming and safe neighborhood.
