Nestled in the heart of Eastham, this ideal vacation home is around the corner from Great Pond fresh water beach, great for kayaking, canoeing, waterskiing, windsurfing and swimming, 1 mile from several Bay beaches - for swimming, kayaking, kite flying and tanning, and 1/2 mile from the National Seashore Center which hosts many free educational activities, family programs, movies, trails, exhibits, museum and bookstore. Two of the most beautiful beaches in the world are Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light on the ocean side, especially noted for great surfing, boogy boarding, swimming and fishing.
For biking enthusiasts, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is 4 houses away (also great for walking or an early morning run). The close-by scenic Fort Hill area offers many walking trails and beautiful scenery and birdwatching to enjoy as well. And don't forget the Audobon Society right off Rt 6 for birdwatching, hiking, educational classes and more.
Shopping is as near as the Eastham Village for groceries with many varied shops all along Rt 6. Or plan a 'mall' day in Hyannis in case of rain! Also Antiquing is easy with several shops throughout the area. Or stop by the Flea Market for a great buy.
At the end of the day, return to your vacation home for a refreshing shower in the outdoor hot/cold water shower, dress in the dressing room, and step onto the patio or deck for a cold drink before barbequeing supper (or before making reservations in one of the many excellent restaurants in the vicinity).
Be sure to catch the sunset at any of the Bay beaches, then relax playing board games or watching cable TV before turning in on some of the most comfortable beds you can find. (And if you're an early riser, get ready to watch a beautiful sunrise at Coast Guard Beach...a great way to start the day.)
Serious golfers will appreciate the many courses open to the public or plan on a September stay and join the Eastham Golf Tournament at Captains Golf Course in Brewster to support the Eastham Chamber of Commerce. Or get some practice at the nearby Driving Range on Rt 6. Or just enjoy one of the many great miniature golf courses for some family fun.
For baseball fans, take in a Cape Cod league game or get some batting practice at the nearby batting cages.
So much to do, so little time!!!! To enjoy yourself and make memories that will last forever...starting right here at 525 Locust Road in Eastham, MA on outer Cape Cod.
