The flat is very well situated with a large balcony facing the mediteranean. Perfect for the long leisurely breakfast. All rooms are spacious and nice. Decoration and furniture is somewhat old but nice just the same. Everything is included which is a nice touch I think. We recommend this flat for your stay in beautiful Nice and we like to come back another time.
We stayed in this apartment a year ago and noticed that Anne-Marie and Bengt has done some improvals in the bathroom and the livingroom but still kept the same nice laidback style in the apartment. We were in a spot with a really bad apartment which we hired in the hills in Nice when I called Bengt just on the offchance that the flat was free (it was not free on the net otherwise we had rented it firsthand) and it was. Bengt and Anne-Marie did everything to help us out of this spot and managed to get hold of the nice lady who could let us in and fix up the apartment. Thank you very much for your help. We really like your cosy apartment with the fantastic terrace were we always have our breakfast looking out over the blue sea. We had a very nice stay and like to come back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you, Leslie and Karin for having submitted this review. We are proud to have been able to provide "real-time" and accurate help. Welcome back some other time!
There are several major things wrong with this apartment: I am very disappointed in the rental because the description on this website did not match what we found when we arrived at the apartment. The pools are a 15 minute walk up hill and not in the apartment complex. They are also not heated and young children are not allowed in the adult pool - the smaller toddler pool is only knee-deep water. The beach is not 500m away - it is 1100m. The parking - it is not private and we often didn't get parked anywhere near the building. The shower is handheld so it was basically a bath with a nozzle attachment and not a shower at all. There is only 1 set of keys despite saying there were 2. The quality of the furniture is poor and the sofas in the lounge are dirty and ripped.

Owner's Response: 1/ Pool location:travellers allegation not exact. The walk=5-7 mn (except for elderly people!) . Review 5, "Fiona": "The pool is situated uphills, a short walk from the apartment".Travellers allegation: "The pool is not in the apartment complex". Of course, as said in the "Ad" : "in Residence with a private park, incl. two heated swimming pools (one of which for children") ;
2/ Pool "not heated":the Pool security staff comment: " In May , just after the opening ,the heating did not work well, due to a technical problem, solved end of May. So,beginning of June, the water temp. increased from 21-22° C to 25-26°". Nothing to add to this comment.3/ "Children not allowed in adult pool". Exactly, and that is for small childrens Security . Those are the regulations in France,happily! The family child seems to be round 3-5, and the Pool Security staff has doubtless decided adequately when leading him/her to the childrens pool.4/ Distance to beach:500meters,Yes, if using the walking paths.1,1km by car? probably. The rental guests seems to have been eager to measure!...5/ Parking:"Not private", says the family.On the contrary, the Residence parking is private and shared. The "Ad: "Private gated and shared parking within the Residence. Now, there is just one small technical incident to report: in June, the gate was crashed, it will be replaced within short. Sorry for that!6/ Shower:The "Ad" tells " Bathtub with shower, bidet". Handheld or not, so what?...7/ Keys:Exact, the "Ad" mentions two sets.One was available, the second lost by the previous Rental Guests. Sorry!8/ "Not Luxury"!, according to the guests. We do not present the apartment as particularly luxurious, we mention an apartment "in luxurious Residence". However, the guests forget about the marble floors, a great surface/price ratio (69m2), two huge terraces,....9/ "Furniture dirty/ripped", according to the family. Our answer=in Review 1, "Leslie": "Decoration and furniture is somewhat old but nice just the same".As a summary, except small incidents (keys, parking barrier) which we regret, the property matches the "Ad" description.Finally, this: our standard check-out time is round 9h00-9h30. The travellers - on their own demand - were,as a special favour,allowed to enjoy the apartment till round 14h00, meaning half a day more than booked!
We, a German family, stayed one week in this really wonderful apartment.
Everything we needed was already present. The interior was lovely and we really liked to be there.
Furthermore we had the chance to look the fireworks of the 14th July directly from the balcony. What an arrival....
The week passed too quick and we hadn't the chance to visit all what we want and to spend more time in the lovely pool with his adorable view to the sea.
Next time we would like to reside longer.
Concerning hand over:
Everything was very well prepared. The contact to the owner was cordial.
Bed linen and towels are top. And also the technical hand-over was easy and without any problems. One word: perfect!
We, a Danish family, 2 adults and two boys (9, 12 y) had a great holiday in july 11 in this very family-friendly flat, that contained everything needed. We had all our home-meals on the large terrace with the fantastic view! There is a bit traffic noise though, but ok.
We enjoyed both the large pool (which is placed in a lovely garden area surrounded by the flats and with a great ocean view) and the "stone" beach at the Promenade de Anglais. The ocean is so blue - and beautiful!
I was easy to get around Nice by busses and Tram. Outside the door is the bus downtown - we went by bus to both Monaco and Cannes for just 1€ per person!
There are so many things to see and do in and around Nice, and the flat is really nice, where you easily feel like home, which is great when traveling with children.
We had good contact with the owners and felt very secure.
