EAST SIDE OF GLACIER PARK IS OUR BACK YARD!! HAVE A LOOK.

East Glacier Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

Thanks for looking at Railroad Creek Lodging's H4 House while planning your trip to Glacier.

Our two story house features three bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen bed and a single, while the Master Bedroom has a queen bed. Adjacent to the Master Bedroom is a small bedroom with another queen bed. Our fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed. All of the bedrooms have great views that provide a peaceful end to your day and brighten the start of the next one. Upstairs you will find a full bath with laundry facilities while the downstairs has a bathroom with shower and sauna.

Sit in the cedar and brick living room with your morning coffee and view Lubeck Ridge, Calf Robe Mountain, Firebrand Pass and the occasional deer, moose, coyotes, elk and bear that make the area their home. Expansive south and west facing windows give incredible views that make our part of the state such a special place. A fully equipped kitchen lets you plan meals at home or dine out at one of the local restaurants. Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you, but if you have a special request, let us know and we'll work on it.

The deck on the west and north sides of the house offers great views and deck chairs are there for your comfort. A gas barbecue and picnic table are also located on the deck for your cooking and outdoor dining use.

Hiking is available as close as the back door, with many other opportunities in the area. Two Medicine Lake area provides numerous hiking trails and a tour boat operates on the lake also. Firebrand Pass is just up the road and is a great hike.

We are located three miles west of East Glacier on Highway 2. Close enough to town, but removed enough to let you see sunsets, stars, northern lights and nature at its best just outside the door. Fluctuating temperatures, windy weather and long daylight hours are part of summer here in East Glacier, so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer during your stay.

COME AND ENJOY OUR PART OF THE BIG SKY COUNTRY!!!

Hi, we're Chuck & Vicki Holbrook. We lived in East Glacier for 21 years before moving to Whitefish Montana in 1999. We have both retired from our jobs and moved back to our home in East Glacier. We live in it in the winter and offer it to visitors to Glacier in the summer. We are eager to be part of your plans to visit Glacier Park. We are pleased to offer our guests a quiet well equipped house outside of town to relax in at the end of a day exploring Glacier Country. Let us know if Railroad Creek Lodging fits your plans for your trip to our part of Glacier Country.

Chuck & Vicki Holbrook purchased this house in 1983

We like living in the country and being able to enjoy life without the distractions of town. Our house is very close to nature and lets you experience it at whatever level you wish.

We designed the house to be energy efficient in both winter and summer and to also have great views out all of our windows. We experience all the many weather types and wildlife that make this such a unique place to live. Our view is essentially unchanged over the last 30 years and we love being out here in such a natural setting.

Fantastic house

  • 5 of 5
This house was fantastic. It fit our large family of seven easily. Chuck and Vicki are the best and we loved the drinks and brownies, and other goodies they left for house. The house has a great barbecue on the back deck that makes summer cooing easy. The house is equipped with anything else you might need while traveling. The Two Medicine area is very close with tons of great hiking. St. Mary and Many Glacier are about an hour away by car, but definitely close enough to visit for the day, making the location of this house excellent. The views from the house are great. We had an amazing vacation! Thanks, Chuck and Vicki! It was great to meet you both.

Great East Glacier House

  • 5 of 5
We stayed at Chuck and Vicki's house at East Glacier for 4 nights in July. The home is Nicky furnished and updated with all new appliances and a new flat screen TV. The home borders the Blackfoot Nation and is in a mostly private setting. You have a great mountain view from the west side. We would definitely recommend this house

Fantastic

We are so happy to have found this gem! What a fantastic place to stay. Our group consisted of 2 families - 4 adults and 4 kids. We were able to prepare meals with ease and everyone had their own space. We were all very comfortable and couldn't get over the view. I wish we would have planned to stay longer.

Family Stay

  • 5 of 5
Our mixed family of 4 adults and 2 small children enjoyed the 4 night stay in this nicely-appointed home! It provided privacy with the different room arrangements, balancing the needs of sleeping children and visiting adults. The spectacular views and the surrounding grounds create a special setting only 3+ miles from the East Glacier community. The hosts were responsive and helpful, and take pride in decorating, maintaining and keeping a clean home. It has a nice kitchen with all the things needed for eating and snacking. The upstairs two bedroom combo would best be suited for either parents / children or close friends. The other upstairs bedroom has a single bed combined with it. Also upstairs, is a large bathroom - laundry combination, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely recommend the property to others. Hiking is right out the door (with bear spray provided). Relaxing on the decks is nice, too.

Another great stay at Railroad Creek.

Thanks Chuck & Vicki for another great stay at your home. This place was great & yall have made it even better. We really liked all the changes you made to the already great house, especially the deck extension & new deck off the upstairs bedroom. The home is really convenient to all the best hikes that Glacier has to offer. We really love stepping outside or looking out the windows right into Glacier, you just never know what you might see. Thanks for all the help you gave us.

Montana Magic in East Glacier

  • 5 of 5
We felt very lucky when we found Chuck and Vicki’s Railroad Creek Lodge on VRBO. We needed accommodations for a group of 8, four of us in our late 50’s and four of us in our early to mid-twenties. This house was the perfect fit for us and is in an ideal location to explore the east side of the park, which is spectacular. Although the eight folks in our group are adventurous and were up for some challenging hiking, we nonetheless decided we wanted to come back to a comfortable, fully functional home to fix great food for dinner, enjoy a few cocktails, play guitar and sing some songs. Chuck and Vicki welcomed us upon arrival and were so helpful with tips about the area. The house has large picture windows on the south and west side of the living room that afford a grand view of Calf Robe and Summit Mountains just to the west. The western view is even better from the very cool new rustic deck off the second floor Master Bedroom. Columbia and Golden Mantle ground squirrels, as well as a snowshoe hare (in summer coat) live in the back yard. The village of East Glacier is only a few minutes drive away and is the place to stop for huckleberry ice cream at the coffee shop on the way home from a hard day of hiking. We cooked most nights and packed lunches for our trips to the Park. Railroad Creek Lodge is a great house for a larger family or a couple of groups and affords plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax, read in the hammock as the sun sets, cook fabulous meals or play games. We enjoyed several dinners at the picnic table on the back deck, cooked on the grill, had a campfire in the fire ring and cooked burgers and brats. If you like to cook great food, this kitchen is absolutely accommodating. On our visits to different areas of the Park we regularly saw grizzlies, moose, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, deer and marmots on fabulous hikes to Many Glacier, Two Medicine and Going to the Sun Road. We highly recommend a stay at Railroad Creek Lodge and Chuck and Vicki are fabulous hosts and we enjoyed our visits with them. Thanks Vicki and Chuck for helping make this a truly memorable trip for all of us.
