New Home in 2011!

Nicole and I live nearby. Cleanliness and atmosphere are what we strive for.

Bring 4 wheelers or SUV and tour the Caballo Mountains, one of the most treasure hunted mountains in America. 1000 of miles of off roading and sight seeing, mountain bike the historic Gila Mountains or just relax and enjoy the view. Visit historic towns, ghost towns, silver and gold mines, hunt for gold or take one of off road tours! Best sunsets in the SW, Lake rafting, art, museums, home of the Virgin Galactic Spaceport, Buffalo, wildlife, etc.

Centrally located to the mountains, lakes, what do you want to do today is the question and if its nothing, this area delivers on that too. The property looks over the Animals Valley, site of many Indian wars and the famous massacre Canyon Battle fought between the Apache Indians and the Buffalo Soldiers, Billy the Kid also stomped all over this place. If the treasure hunting is in your blood, then Google and see what happened on the caballo Mountains in the last 100 years. The bottom line is, what ever your looking for, we help you find it.

The home has satellite TV, wireless internet and a car port.

Thanks for looking.

An oasis in the desert

Jon is about as a friendly an owner as you can meet. He knows the area like the back of his hand. He can help you save time by directing to the "best" of what ever it is your looking for. He is a valuable resource for your stay. Whether it's local adventures or businesses, he knows them all. After a friendly welcome, you can relax knowing he's just a call away. But he's very respectful of your privacy.

The house is practically brand new. The house is spacious with 2 large bedrooms, an office, 1 large master bath with shower and tub and a smaller bath will tub/shower. The furniture is new and also very cozy and accommodating. I didn't try out the guest bedroom, but the master bed has a nice thick memory foam topper and was just what my back needed after previous nights on King sized bricks. The kitchen is spacious and ready for you to stock. It also has a dining table with a great view. Also, the property has a covered (and sided) carport to protect your car from the elements.

Jon's was the last leg of my week long road trip in NM. And even though some of my vacation previous to Jon didn't go as well as hoped, I recouped at this house and enjoyed the creature comforts. Honestly, it was just what I needed. I was able to relax and get my strength up before leaving. My road trip had been 1200 miles before I landed at Jon's. Just a short drive to Truth or Consequences, Elephant Butte Lake and Caballo Lake it was in a great central and private location for me. And if you're up to it, Silver City is just a little drive away.

Jon is a true outdoors man. He even owns a gun shop close by. Courteous, helpful and respectful, Jon is a great owner.

I've used VRBO before on a trip to Hawaii in 2004. If you've never used it before, treat yourself to a different experience. It's owner's like Jon that make VRBO a pleasant alternative to the hustle and bustle of road traveling in small rooms and trial sized amenities.

Give Jon a call if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.

Exceeds Expectations

Arnold and I have had the opportunity to spend a month in both of the Miller's rental properties. Either one will exceed your expectations. The homes are spotless, roomy, airy and private; the kitchens are well-equipped. The king size bed is fantastic! As an added plus, Jon and Nicole offer ATV tours into the nearby mountains and canyons. Whether you have spent a morning on one of the two golf courses (Sierra del Rio is outstanding!), a day exploring historical mining towns, or a weekend in Silver City, coming home to the mesa above Caballo Lake truly does feel like a "home away from home." And ... you couldn't have nicer "neighbors" than Jon and Nicole.

Paradise in New Mexico

My husband and I spent a relaxing week in this absolutely beautiful setting. We enjoyed some of the most spectacular sunsets and sunrises we have ever seen. There is plenty to do- exploring and hiking at it's best. The accommodations were clean and very comfortable. Jon and Nicole were perfect hosts. They are a wealth of information on the area. We felt very relaxed in this private location. We were able to bring our dog, which was an added bonus.
