The best place to stay in Annapolis
This property is a real treasure. My husband and I have visited Annapolis several times; we love the city, but we've always been disappointed with the accommodations . . . until now. We rented this property from May 6 - 10, 2013. This house is even better than described in the listing, and the photos do not do it justice. It is impeccably clean and neat, extremely well furnished, and very comfortable and homey. The kitchen is well-equipped and even stocked with many pantry essentials. It's perfect for having breakfast in the morning without having to go out, and despite all of the wonderful dining spots in Annapolis, we just had to prepare dinner at home one night; dining on the patio was perfectly quiet and private. The bathrooms were supplied with lots of fluffy towels and even things like soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The master bedroom has a super-comfortable bed and lots of storage space. The residential neighborhood is extremely quiet, and the neighbors are friendly. The location is perfect, far enough away from the bars that can be quite noisy at night, but within a few minutes' walk to the shops, restaurants, dock, etc. Megan is very accommodating and helpful, not to mention super-nice. She responded to all of our inquiries, both before our arrival and during our stay, immediately and thoroughly. We will definitely stay here again, and would certainly recommend it to friends and family. One of our all-time favorite spots in Annapolis is Middleton Tavern; we always love oysters on the half-shell, but were really blown away by the fried calamari. We had a lovely Italian dinner at Osteria 177 on Main Street, and Carrol's Creek on Severn has the best rockfish ever. We love wandering in and out of all the shops on Main Street, but our all-time favorite is Easy Street on Francis. The hot-air balloon sculpture that we acquired is a beautiful reminder of a wonderful visit to Annapolis. The only downside was that we only spent four nights. We hated to leave, but we have great memories and can't wait to return.
