VILLA APARTMENT WITH SWIMMING POOL AND GARDEN NEAR BEACHES AND GOLF

This is a fantastic apartment, tastefully decorated and with all the mod cons including a well equipped kitchen. The gardens and pool are beautiful (and gated). The owners live downstairs and are very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed that we could walk to nearby shops and cafes and it was only a 5 minutes drive to the nearest beach (Praia Adaga) which was our favourite. This is also a great area to explore and there are many beaches nearby, historical sites and villages and local market. We had a great week and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for comfortable, quiet accomodation in beautiful surroundings and a good location.

We have just returned from two weeks in the Colares area of Portugal and were delighted with this apartment. The location is fantastic - close to all the major beaches (less than 5 minutes). There are three beaches - Praia Macas (nice for families with good restaurants), Praia Grande - good for families, body boarders and surfers. There is also a beach called Praia d'Adraga at the bottom of the village where the apartment is situated. This is the most beautiful beach with caves - but is very dangerous for swimming. If you have a car - Guincho Beach can be found about 20 minutes drive through the National Park - with spectacular scenery. For shopping - either for gifts or food to stock up on - the best place is Cascais, although there is a supermarket in Sintra. Sintra is a great place for culture with a hilltop palace and moorish castle (not for the fainthearted and those wary of heights!). Go early in the day to avoid crowds and the heat as it is very hilly.

The apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable and contains everything you need for a self catering holiday. The views from all sides are wonderful, especially the amazing sunsets from the balcony. The grounds surrounding the apartment comprise beautiful lush gardens, filled with flowers leading to a private swimming pool at the rear of the property. You feel very secure as the property is completely contained and protected via an electric gate. Also worth a visit is Lisbon - you can get the train from Sintra - it takes about 30 minutes - far easier than driving. Great tram tours operate from the main square which is about a 5 minute walk from the station.

We would certainly recommend this apartment for both families or friends and would love to return next year.

We enjoyed a lovely two week holiday with our two young boys in October. We used the good sized pool every day and had a very relaxing sunny break. The apartment is well equipped and clean. The owner on hand if any queries but also happy to leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday. The nearby beaches are beauftiful and it's only 30 mins from Lisbon.

We would thoroughly recommend and will return as soon as the £ sorts itself out!!!
