A stunning detached private villa built in local stone,with infinity pool. It was marketed with THOMPSON'S, SIMPLY & has been in PLACE IN THE SUN, AND REAL ESTATE TV, the view across the secluded bay to the Azure Aegean is to die for. All rooms have sea views. AURORA is on three levels, all floors are in polished Travertine, the kitchen is fully equipped with d/washer, oven/grill, microwave, w/machine, juicer etc.There are three lounges, the upper quiet lounge has rattan furniture with cream linen cushions, TV, DVD, video & CD player, the views across the Aegean are breathtaking. The dining room and lounge are split level with contemporary dining table and chairs for 8 people, the lounge is furnished in cream, browns and beige, the large windows and doors are dressed in beautiful drapes and blinds complementing the furniture, there is a SAT TV, DVD & CD player,The lower WET lounge has large fridge with water & ice dispenser, outside there's a Turkish pergola with cushions &rugs

Within 30mins drive you can access the wonderful sight of BODRUM castle with the bustling marina, where ferry boats depart Daily for KOS, for night life look no further than the fabulous Halikarnass open air nightclub. within 10mins drive is the resort of YALIKAVAK with its marina. and famous windmill, 5mins takes you to GUNDOGAN the local town, where you can enjoy a variety of water sports, there are many styles of restaurants although you will not find English breakfast or Fish and Chips on the menu!! this area is very Turkish with little English spoken which makes the experience all the more enjoyable, KUCKUKBUK is the small village in walking distance of Aurora, there are a few local bars, restaurants,& small hotels,the beach at night is transformed with candle lit tables on the jetties, The area is summer home to the wealthy from ISTANBUL 10mins drive ends in up market TURKBUKU a favourite with Turkish footballers.30mins takes you to ancient GUMUSLUK, the place for fish lovers!!

  • A non refundable booking deposit of £100 per week booked is required to secure the dates.A £100 refundable deposit is required for confirmation of booking., this is payable on final payment date 10 weeks before holiday commences, this will be returned on completion of holiday subject to the property being left in a good state, with no major damage. Cancellation before 10weeks of departure is 50% + deposit, after 10 weeks before departure date 100% + deposit
  • A £100 non refundable deposit is required as confirmation for each booked week
  • Aurora is looked after by a professional local English speaking agent, using local staff for cleaning, pool/garden etc. the property is cleaned before your arrival. On a two week holiday there is a mini clean and linen change at the end of the first week. Extra cleaning is available to be paid for locally. there is a vacuum cleaner, mops,bucket,brooms etc for guests own use. there is a firs aid cupboard, this also contains spare light bulbs, a torch and matches.

  • All bathrooms are half tiled in natural travertine local stone, with polished Travertine floors, shower enclosures are all corner ones with sliding doors, there are heated towel rails in all bathrooms,(only work with C/H) all bathrooms have shaver points ,mirror,shelf, and plug for hair dryer, all the bidets are combined within the toilet pan as is normal in Turkey. Bathroom 1 & 5 have no natural light.Bathrooms 1 & 2 have a free-standing unit for toiletries. Bathroom 5 is situated on the lower ground floor off of the wet room lounge, this is so that everyone can use it, and it is ideal for using while soaking up the sun around the pool, No wet footmarks in your bedrooms. the outside shower is by the pool cold water only, although in summer this is very warm.

  • Double Bedroom is on the lower ground floor, has large dressing room with fitted wardrobes, and large ensuite shower/toilet room,patio doors open onto the covered terrace next to the pool, with amazing sea views across Kuckukbuk and Gundogan bays. Bed 2 located on the first floor has split level dressing room with fitted wardrobes and large en suite shower/toilet room, triple aspect windows make this the sunniest bedroom with fabulous views across the bays.This room can be made up as a double if required. Bed 3 has small ensuite shower/toilet room and is located on the ground floor near the front door. Bed 4 is on the first floor with fitted wardrobes, and a small shower/toilet room opposite the house was designed to be 6 bedroom but we have used the extra space to create more recreation areas, the lower ground floor wet room has a huge bathroom fitted with a jacuzzi bath, ideal for using while down at the pool. this rrom also has a very large fridge/freezer dispensing ice and water

Notes: Aurora boast a Turkish Cabana with colourful large cushions and bean bags, with bamboo carpets, and spot light, there is a small white table with four white plastic hairs, by the pool, on the main uncovered terrace there is a glass top aluminium table with extra ends, and 8 matching chairs with cushions matching the sun beds, the table has a large sun parasol to match. There is a range of plastic ware in the kitchen for outside use around the pool, The well equipped kitchen has a coffee machine, a steamer, electric hand whisk,and automatic chopper, electric and hand juicer, plus china and cutlery for 12 persons. The house has a total of 33steps inside from the lower ground floor to the upper floor, the balcony upstairs overlooks the entrance hall.the swimming pool area is lawned with plants and potted plants, the pool is fully tiled all round ,the 8 sunbeds have matching cushions to the chairs. pool towels are supplied. the front and side gardens are lawned and planted

Heritage sites furthur afield: THE MAGNIFICENT EPHESUS IS 2.5 HRS DRIVE FROM AURORA, THE ROAD IS BACK TO THE AIRPORT AND ON TO IZIMIR, IT IS A VERY GOOD ROAD WITH DUAL CARRIAGE WAY MOST OF THE JOURNEY, IN THE SAME AREA IS PAMUKALE THE AMAZING SALT FLATS. ON ROUTE TO EPHESUS YOU CAN CALL IN AT DIDIM AND SEE THE ANCIENT TEMPLE OF APPOLO, THIS IS ALSO THE AREA OF ALTINKUM (BLACKPOOL BY THE SEA) IS HERE, IT BOAST 3 VERY LONG GOLDEN BEACHES, THIS AREA CAN ALSO BE VISITED BY BOAT, FROM TORBA ON THE WAY TO THE AIRPORT.

SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS: ON THE WAY TO THE AIRPORT IS THE FISHING VILLAGE OF GUVERNILLICK, THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN SWIM WITH THE DOLPHINS, IT IS ALSO VERY FAMOUR FOR THE BEACH FRONT FISH RESTAURANTS AND VERY POPULAR WITH LOCALS.

KOS FOR THE DAY: FROM THE COMMERCIAL PORT IN BODRUM YOU CAN TAKE THE FERRY TO THE GREEK ISLAND OF KOS, ABOUT 1.5HR. THIS TAKES YOU TO KOS TOWN WHICH HAS WONDERFUL RUINS OF THE ANCIENT TOWN, THERE ARE MANY NICE RESTAURANTS FOR YOU TO SIT DOWN AND SAMPLE DOLMADES WASHED DOWN WITH AGLASS OF OUZU OR RETSINA. A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND THE DAY.

Golf: there is a 9 hole golf course 20mins drive on the way to Bodrum, near the large Kippa (Tesco) supermarket. the 18 holel golf course is near the airport at tuzla, this is a 50min drive away. this golf course allows day visitors, details will be in the house folder.

One of my best holidays

I rented this property last year & am thinking of going back again. We were very inpressed with the location & all the amenities The property itself was a dream with everything so clean & all you could want for a family holiday.I think it is fair to say we all had a wonderful time while the guy's had a great time with all the water sport's us girls had a really relaxing time by the pool.In the evening it was great to go & try all the different foods & drinks it was amazing to be able to taste all the local produce.

Relaxing and peaceful

We loved Villa Aurora on our 2 week stay in June 2008. Spacious, clean, peaceful and relaxing. Pool was lovely and kept clean. Lovely views.
The only down points were dishwasher was broken so had to do washing up in sink and smelt a bit damp in the downstairs room leading out to the pool which we think was coming from the jacuzzi bath. Cutlery was looking a bit tired as well.
Built in BBQ was left with old ashes in when we arrived so we did not use it and BBQ utensils were filthy. Maid did do a very good job of cleaning BBQ after first week.
Local Migros is about 10 minute drive or Tansas which is bigger supermarket is about 15 minute drive. There is a small shop 2 minutes drive also.
I would recommend you hire a car if staying at this villa.
Would definately book to go back again
Owner's Response: Many thanks for your lovely comments, Not sure why dishwasher not working? it's all ok now ,We had a new Osmosis water system put in (to counteract the mineral problems with the well water ) and it was not working properly causing problems with funny smells, this has all been sorted out and the house water is now drinkable. Cutlery was a cause of the water mineral deposits, all been replaced. Bar B Q noted ,will be flagged up . I have appointed new agents for Aurora this year, and i will be in Turkey for 3 weeks March /April to oversee the opening up of the house and pool, first visitors arrive begining of May. Turkey is the in palce this year due to the high Euro, but beware, some traders will try to price from YTL to euro's based on the £,
Airport Duty Free is priced in Euro's, food and drink is very expensive.

Wonderfully lazy

This villa was wonderful and we hardly moved from it. It was as well equipped as advertised, clean and well-maintained.

The customer service is being improved. I would recommend taking some food stuffs as the shop 15 minutes walk away has limited supplies. The restaurants around the bay (30 minutes walk) are lovely and while the bay is not ideal sea bathing it is adequate and the pool made up for it.

A car would have widened sightseeing opportunities but we loved the endless relaxing.

oh I want to stay forever at villa aurora

Aurora is perfect for all ages, stunning views, easy access to secluded beach, everything you could want in the villa especially the kitchen (better than at home), the infinity pool is fabulous, i thought i's died and gone to heaven when we ate on the jetty by candle light, the weather was great upper 20's late october, we never tired of the views they are spectacular, and the area is so quiet and very Turkish, no english breakfast or fish and chips, just what we wanted, we will be back. The kissing cousins

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in Villa Aurora and would definitely book again. The villa is spotless and extremely well maintained with spectacular views of the ocean. If you want to experience Turkey as the Turks do, then this is the place for you.
