The property lies in the principality of Seborga where in 1117 the first nine Templar knights were ordained and is the first unique sovereign Cistercian State in history. The property is situated on the edge of a protected park reserve over looking the principalities of Seborga and Monaco with majestic unobstructed views of the French Riviera coast line as far as the hills of San Tropez. An experience of authentic Italian country living while in close proximity to vibrant cities such as San Remo, Bordighera, Menton and Monte Carlo. Never far from the sea or the ski resort of Limone. The area is steeped in historic and wonderful architecture of eras gone by and is speckled with quaint and wonderful villages. The spectrum of shops is never ending and fine cuisine is everywhere with the area having one of the finest restaurants in Italy.

The Principality of Seborga is located in the back hills of Liguria, the famous Italian Flower Riviera, minutes from the motorway Nice/Genoa. In the 10 th Century it was comprised of what is now known as Vallecrosia, Vallebona and Bordighera. The remaining land territory of the Old Principality amounts to almost 10 square miles of green and flowery cultivated hill sides. The view is breathtaking, from Bordighera to the nearby Principality of Monaco and the French Cote d' Azur. Mediterranean Cities like Bordighera, Vallecrosia and Vallebona are a living part of what was the Old Principality and are booming Tourism centres with a plethora of shopping and dining. Seborga, is a place for the uncommon, filled with history, nature and the atmosphere so dear to Ernest Hemingway or was it Somerset Maughn! And was the preferred vacation house of Monet!

We spent two glorious weeks in this idyllic corner of the country. The views were the best around and the kind that you want to take home. Consequently we have many photos taken at all times of the day to remind us. The setting meant long breakfasts on the balcony and long drinks by the pool to soak it all up.
The apartment was perfect for all the family and exceeded expectations with regards quality and comfort. The pool, the bar areas and lovely gardens were enjoyed by all for long periods of the day where we relaxed and then relaxed some more. It was often difficult to move away for the day. When we did, we found places of interest and entertainment - Monaco is a stone's throw away.
The events in the interesting and picturesque village were a real enjoyment, making you feel that you were at a friend’s party.
Our host was friendly and helpful showing us places worth visiting and even supplied us with some home grown vegetables.
All in all it was a perfect location for a perfect holiday thoroughly enjoyed by our whole family and to be recommended.

My stay at the SB in Seborga was superb.
The owners were freiendly, pleasant and made me feel very welcome. They were also helpful in recommending places to visit and where to eat. It was like a home away from home.

The apartment you couldn't fault anything with the facilities offered. The layout was spacious and all of the rooms were of a high standard of cleanliness .

The surrounding gardens are beautiful with stunning views of Monaco and St Tropez, not forgetting to mention snow capped mountiains. I must recommend the walks in the area for the stunning natural beauty of the region.

A very big thankyou for making my stay so memorable. See you all again in a few months.

Unser diesjähriger Sommerurlaub in Seborga hätte nicht schöner sein können. Lage, Ausstattung und Aussicht, alles wie im Inserat angegeben, das Haus liegt am Hang mit einem in Terrassen angelegten superschönen Garten.
Das Appartement war supersauber, groß und von der Terasse hatte man diese wunderbare Aussicht auf Monacound die Berge, ein allabendliches highlight bei einem schönen Glas Wein!!!! Die Vermieter sind unheimliche freundliche, fröhliche und absolut jederzeit hilfsbereite Leute, mit wertvollen Tips für Ausflüge oder Restaurants, oder was man sonst so wissen möchte. Sie sprechen alle fließend Englisch, so daß die Kommunikation kein Problem war. Wir alle haben fast täglich den Pool zum Spielen und erfrischen genutzt und mußten
daher nicht zwanghaft jeden Tag ans Meer fahren um den Kindern zu Wasserspaß zu verhelfen. Die Fahrt nach Bordighera runter dauert aber auch nicht lange (ca.10-15min) und Richtung Ventimiglia findet man reichlich Strandabschnitte, an denen man nicht bezahlen muß.Außerdem ist man schnell in Frankreich und Monaco, Ausflüge kann man also auch reichlich unternehmen, wenn man möchte.
Seborga selber ist ein schönes altes und kleines Örtchen.
Zweimal pro Woche fand dort ein Fest auf dem Dorfplatz statt mit Musik und Tanz und der Möglichkeit zu günstigen Preisen etwas zu Essen und zu Trinken.Wir waren alle superbegeistert und erholt , bedanken uns auf diesem Wege nochmal ganz herzlich für diesen tollen Urlaub und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen im nächsten Jahr.
Die ersten Freunde und Bekannten wollten auch schon die Adresse haben.
