I have two condos; my Salt Lake City fun, trendy, -- close to the city, -- close to ski, 'Urban yet Suburban' pads. Situated between the airport and downtown, just 2 miles from the city center and the Salt Palace, it's the perfect getaway when you need to be in the city for a conference, business, touring or simply enjoying the myriad of downtown and SLC activities.

When I travel, like you, I want all the amenities of home. Easy access to the airport, easy access to downtown and a short drive to the best snow in the world. The Salt Palace & Energy Solutions Arena is off W 200 S. Just one turn out oft the parking lot and in 8 minutes you’re there in downtown to enjoy shopping at the City Creek Shopping Center and fantastic dining, without the hotel prices of the convention centers.

Both units are in the same complex, adjacent to each other, conveniently nestled just 8 short minutes from the airport and just 2 miles from downtown activities. Traveling with friends? Book the units together and I'll give you a discount. You can get settled in, right after arriving in town. When you enter into the condo, you’ll feel right at home.

Both are the same layout with the same features and amenities, but different decor. One has beautiful granite counters and new kitchen cabinetry. Situated as a 'garden unit', which you'll appreciate in the winter and summer, it is well-insulated, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The other, a second floor unit right above the other, has rich, warm earth tones, new carpet, and lovely mosaic tile in the kitchen. Both are remodeled bathrooms and kitchens with new appliances, comfortable Queen beds in the master, and full size beds in the 2nd bedroom. Linens are included for the beds and towels for up to 4 people. Additionally, you will have gated parking for your vehicle; one per unit. We're also baby friendly! with a Pack and Play and high chair available to you, should you require them, if traveling with little ones.

All units have baseboard heaters and thermostats to ensure your comfort in the winter and a wall air conditioner for the summer. I love circulating air, so I had beautiful, quiet ceiling fans installed in the bedrooms and the dining area to keep air flowing nicely throughout the unit, in the winter, summer, spring or fall.

Enjoy having your privacy with all the amenities you need, without the high price of boring, expensive hotels. Definitely better priced than a hotel suite, with far more to offer. I even supply coffee and tea! My dedicated cleaning lady keeps these condos very clean with professional pride. Each unit features two flat panel TV's and DVD players; one in the living room and the other in the master bedroom as well as streaming Netflix and HuluPlus, so you can catch up on all your shows. DVD’s are also available to watch during your stay. If you have some you’d like to unload, bring them along and add them to the guest library for others to enjoy.

Ahh, comfort. The master bedrooms are furnished with real Queen size beds with a tempurpedic mattress topper. Something my bad back requires no matter which unit I stay in! The second bedrooms are furnished with real Full size beds, also with tempurpedic mattress toppers. The sofabeds pull out into a full size bed (cozy!) and in each unit, a twin foldaway bed is also available in the closet of the 2nd bedrooms. In addition, in each unit, the 2nd bedroom is furnished with a small desk to get some work completed, or to set up your laptop when you need to get online; the units are WIFI enabled. Each unit also has a washer and dryer, with complimentary laundry detergent, a fully stocked kitchen featuring new, electric ranges, new dishwashers and new refrigerators! Coffee maker, teapot, toaster, microwave oven and everything you need to cook and serve your delicious meals. Tupperware is also available for your use to pack leftovers in if you are on the run.

Minutes to downtown Salt Lake City, this is an ideal location. Just a short 2 mile drive, you’ll have access to the best dining Salt Lake City offers, great museums, grocery stores and shopping at the Gateway Mall. If you are here for business, you are just 2.33 miles/8 minutes from the Salt Palace Convention Center and have quick access to the I-80, I-215 and I-15 freeways. If you aren't interested in renting a car, no worries. A 10 min taxi from the airport, and you can catch the 516 bus around the corner and it takes you just a block from the Salt Palace or other convenient, downtown locations. Maps of the bus route and local ski areas are available in my directories located in the unit.

Whether it be for a sporting event, business meetings, a conference, LDS activites or Temple, these affordable condos are just a quick 10 minutes from all the downtown activities. For skiers looking to save some money, it’s just a 20 minute drive to the best snow on earth at Snowbird & Alta, Brighton & Solitude. Or for more winter action, just a 30 minute drive to Park City, Deer Valley & the Canyons. Snow Basin and Powder Mountain are just up the I-15 too! Summertime brings great hiking, biking, fishing or day trips to Utah’s world-famous canyons.

About Lisa MacDonald

My brother moved his family to a city just north of Salt Lake City. We weren't sure that they would like living in Utah, but they fell in love with the lifestyle and will plan to stay for a long, long time. So, I decided to buy a vacation home here so me and my family could have a place to stay when we visit their busy household. Not surprisingly, I too fell in love with the area and feel like this rental is my second home. I'm thrilled and proud to share it with others who come into town.

The location of the units is close to the airport and easy access to the i-80 freeway. It's very quiet; you won't hear any freeway noise. I personally love that literally in 8 minutes (I've timed it) I am from the airport to my condo parking space. I love that I walk in and everything I need is there, right down to the cotton balls. All I need to do is turn on my laptop and I'm ready to get online with WIFI, turn on the TV to watch my favorite shows on HBO or pop in a DVD from my growing library. The only thing I wish I had was my cat ! I visit with my brother's family and the unit is so close to great restaurants, the Children's Museum, the theaters, and then, it's just 20 minutes from Snowbird! I love the layout of this unit so... I bought another one! Both are furnished primarily with IKEA. So if you've ever fantasized what it would be like living in an IKEA showroom, you'll love my condos! Very fun.

Comfortable, Cozy, Just like home!

I was having surgery in Salt Lake City and my family and I needed a place to stay while I recovered. A friend suggested homeaway.com and Lisa's condo was the first one to fit our needs. It was easy to find and in a good neighborhood. Lisa sends a check in packet in the mail a week before you check in. It is a very detailed layout of the house, from how to get in the gate to where to find the towels and sheets. The condo was very cozy and updated.The furniture is functional and comfortable. The entire condo was very clean. It really was like being at home for me. Everything I needed was provided. The weather was nice so we had the windows open most of the time. There is no central heat and air but there is an air unit in the front room and floor heating in every room. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful and there were a lot of kids in the neighborhood for my kids to play with. I did have some trouble getting in the front gate, but one of the neighbors let me in. We had some problems with the remotes working properly. We bought new batteries and everything was fine. Also the T.V. in the front room would get fuzzy, but once we turned it a certain way, it was fine. I did inform Lisa and I'm sure she'll attend to it. The grocery store was easy to get to and well as downtown attractions and parks. We loved our stay! We loved Lisa! She was so helpful and easy to get a hold of. She was so patient with me and the fact that I left some things in the apartment and accidentally took something from the apartment. She's wonderful and easy to work with. We truly are grateful for her generosity and her renting her home to us. We would definitely stay here again if we needed and would absolutely recommend this condo to everyone.

Affordable, well managed, clean, good location

We had to find a place with very short notice and Lisa was able to accommodate us for the week we were in Salt Lake. We had the opportunity to stay in both units available and both were well furnished, very clean and more than adequate for 4 people. Most of the week there were only two of us but the added two adult children for two nights filled the one bathroom apartment and we functioned just fine. The lower unit really has a wow factor in terms of furnishings. The first unit we stayed in on the second floor is comfortable. We were lacking enough towels and I couldn't find the sheets for the futon in the living room and Lisa was very responsive and arrived the next day with everything that was needed. The second unit downstairs had more than anyone could need. Lisa responds almost immediately to email and obviously wants everything to go right and for her guests to have what they need and to be comfortable. The location is great for reaching downtown and getting back to the airport. While it is far from the ski areas for Utah, access is easy because the unit is very near the on ramp for I-80 West which allows to you access the ski areas quickly. Lisa sends you a packet that requires a bit of reading but it answers all your questions and gives explicit instructions on getting into the unit. If you read it, you will have no trouble in accessing the units. I recommend this listing for vacations, business people (she has a good strong internet) or people on family visits. The units are small but there is a pool, so it could work for someone with a small family. And, by the way, the shower has great water pressure!

Perfect spot for any SLC visit!

We booked this 2 bedroom condo on a real short notice due to a family emergency. This worked out great for us to have family together during this time. We had easy access to the interstate to travel around town, as well as quick access to the airport. We will be back to visit family, and would love to stay again. I have never used VRBO before, and I'm so glad a friend showed this site to me.

Cozy Home Away From Home in SLC

I traveled to SLC with three other female family members. Staying at Lisa's condo was the best choice for our trip to SLC, and we enjoyed every minute of it. The condo is immaculately clean, very comfortable and cozy. We made ourselves right at home, cooked some meals, did a load of laundry... a true home away from home! Lisa is an excellent host; easy to communicate with, and understanding of our needs. During our first day at the condo I contacted her with an issue that had a "DUH!" answer, yet she was nothing but gracious in her response and help. Lisa is conscientious of guests, attentive and professional. We would stay at her condo again, and recommend highly that others do as well!

This Place is So Cute and Convenient!

The owner has taken great steps to insure a quality stay for the guests. The condo is a very clean, nicely decorated 2 bedroom with everything provided. Since the location is convenient to the airport and to the city center, we got to enjoy a number of activities without driving too far - birding, family history, sight-seeing, hiking! And the neighbors are wonderful. We will definitely return.

A great find in Salt Lake City!

I travel to SLC for an extended business trip every August and staying at BOTH of Lisa's condos in SLC was awesome. She was always quick to help and it was obviously very important to her that we enjoyed our stay and had what we needed. The condos were conveniently located and it was a breeze to take a cab to downtown if we want to have a few drinks and not drive. One-way was $10 including tip - fantastic (this was to Spencers's in the Hilton). The condos were clean and were very nicely decorated. I highly recommend you contact Lisa if you are going to be needing a place to stay in SLC. I look forward to possibly checking out her place in TN too.

This condo is a corner unit in a medium sized condominium complex. The grounds are kept nicely and with a car, you are just minutes from anything you need; grocery, gas, restaurants, convention center or downtown events. Just 5 miles/8 min from the SLC Airport and 3 minutes to downtown SLC. It's a great location to get in and out of the city or be near downtown, if you spend your time there.
