PELE'S GARDEN-PRIVATE 2 ACRE ESTATE WITH POOL

Pahoa Estate Rental Photos and Description

Estate, 4 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

Under new Ownership! See our special! This two acre private Hawaiian estate is secluded and surrounded by mature, native Ohia trees and was designed and built by an architect. 'Pele's Garden' would be an unforgettable place for a wedding on its tropically landscaped botanical grounds. You are surrounded by anthurium, heliconia, ferns, hydrangea, and can pick the fruit from the many trees - including mango, lime, lemon, passion fruit, avocado, orange, tangerine, and banana.

You will be delighted with the carved native ohia wood poles at the front and back steps. The main part of the house has the lovely entry way with view to the pool, the living room and dining room, plus the modern kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen has granite counter tops, maple cabinets and stainless appliances. The stainless refrigerator has a double door. Off the kitchen is a covered lanai overlooking the pool with a gas barbeque grill. The master bedroom with King bed is separated from the main part of the house with a covered lanai entry. The large master bathroom offers a jacuzzi style garden tub with jets and a separate shower. 350+ thread count linens are provided for your sleeping comfort.

The downstairs has a separate entry and can be rented for an additional charge. It has two more bedrooms, each with a double bed, a bath with shower and a family room with flat screen TV for movies, microwave, small apartment refrigerator and coffee maker. (Never rented separately).

Peles Garden now offers high speed internet and Dish satellite TV!

The lava flow viewing site is only about 3 miles away (as Pele permits) and the newly forming black sand beach of Kalapana is just a few more miles. Kehena Black Sand Beach is close by. You can snorkel at the Waiopae Tidepool Preserve and soak in the hot ponds too!

For the vacationer who wants seclusion surrounded by beauty, Pele's Garden is the place to be. (sorry poor cell phone reception here but there is a phone for local calls). 5 miles away is the village of Pahoa with great restaurants, banks, ATM machines, boutiques, the oldest theatre on the island, and postal and internet services.

Great price for what you get, beautiful house. Very cozy! Make sure you bring groceries because your pretty far out but otherwise it's excellent

Owner's Response: Thank you for joining us at Peles Garden. The house is actually 5 miles from the village of Pahoa with a natural health food store and another small market, plus Longs Drug Store. Hilo is about 35 miles and is a large city with several large grocery stores. Don't miss the Sunday Makuu Farmers Market with fresh fruits and vegetables! - The Management

"Words don't express what a wonderful time we had here on the Big Island. Thank you so very much for sharing your house with us. It is perfect in so many ways. It's in a great location with so many beautiful and unique things to see and do just within miles from the house. The house is fantastic and the yard with all the wonderful trees and flowers were so very enjoyable for us Texans. We walked around and just took in all the beauty. We loved the fresh fruit from the lemon and orange trees. All in all our time here was unforgettable and I know we will never foget it? Thank you again."

"Peles Palace is the perfect name for this enchanted property. Our stay was truly a piece of paradise on the Big Island. Everything was perfect from the fresh fruit trees to the beautiful flowers on the property. Thank you for sharing your house with us. My husband and I have been to Maui and others before but this has truly been the best island and place to stay. I have already told my grown daughters next time should be a family vacation and spend the whole week at Peles." From the guest book

"Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home here in Hawaii with us. We enjoyed all the beautiful flowers and fruit trees tremendously! Also, we loved playing in the pool! Unfortunately, we did not see any flowing lava, but we will come back next time to see it. Once again, thank you so much for sharing your home. This trip will never be forgotten!

A Royal Delight!

  • Submitted: Jan 15, 2014

"Dear King, Queen, Princes and Princesses, your palace is a royal delight! The gardens are beautifully designed and constructed for interest and views. The diversity of plants in Hawaii is well represented and the array of birds (based on the sound) seems comparable to the National Volcano forest. I'm enjoying a brief period of intense sun by the pool, but the intermittent rain is fine too. The house is perfect for privacy, even with just me and my husband, we love having our own bathrooms. "
