Sit back and relax directly on one of the nicest beaches in New London County. Boardwalk is a wonderful starting, finishing and ending location for all your summer activities. Others have called Groton Long Point a summer camp for all ages. Wake up to the waves crashing on the beach just steps from your windows and fall asleep to sunsets that light up the sky with beautiful shades of red and yellow. GLP is a fantastic place to vacation or spend the summer. Within the private beach association there are several beaches, tennis courts, volleyball, walking, biking, swimming and more. A short drive will bring you to mouthwatering restaurants, coastal atmospheres, exciting night life or take a chance at one or the casinos just 25 minutes away.

While you stay with us you will be provided with Cable TV, Blue Ray DVD, Wireless Internet and 2 kayaks. Air conditioning is in half of the house. We are sorry but Please no pets.

Sleeping arrangements are as follows:

Bdrm 1 - first floor - double bed

Bdrm 2 - 2nd floor - 2 twins

Bdrm 3 - 2nd floor - double bed

Bdrm 4 - 2nd floor - queen bed, balcony overlooking beach

Bdrm 5 - 3rd floor - 2 twins and futon

This is the first year we are renting the cottage so no feedback from past tenants just yet. It truly is a wonderful location and we look forward to having you.

114 Boardwalk is located in Groton Long Point. Within the private association there is tennis courts, swimming, beaches, volleyball, marina, post office, places to walk and ride bikes. There are several restaurants just outside the association and many more in downtown Mystic, just 5 miles away. For more excitement the largest casino in North America, Foxwoods is just 15 miles away and Mohegan sun is 16 miles away. There are plenty of golf courses to choose from for all skill levels. The closest is 7 miles away. All forms of transportation come within 10 miles of Groton long Point so you can travel by Air, Boat, Train or car.

Fantastic GLP beach house

This is a great house for a big family or two families. Several couples could be just as comfortable. Easy to have a big group sit for dinner, but plenty of room to have some privacy and quiet space. The third floor room is terrific for kids. The house is VERY well equipped, perfectly immaculate. Everything from BBQ to kayaks. Kitchen has everything you might need, and a few things I wouldn't have thought of. The photos don't do it justice--You can sit in the sunroom in any weather: windows open there's a beautiful breeze; windows closed and it's warm and snug even if it's stormy outside. Good restaurants are walking distance and plenty to do within a 10 minute drive, but it's tempting to just walk out the door onto the beach or sit on the deck and admire the view. I can't wait to get back to this house.

Fabulous Vacation Home!

This summer we had the very good fortune to spend time in the lovely child friendly Groton Long Point beach community. This house is located right on the beach overlooking Fishers Island Sound.
and Fishers Island. The house is well stocked with beach toys for young and old alike; kayaks, bicycles, picnic table, beach chairs, every thing one would want for a summer holiday on the beach, Additionally, the interior of the house was not only spotless, but very comfortably furnished and beautifully equipped with all the amenities of home.

During our stay our children were entertained with sailing, swimming, and tennis. They actually had a difficult time fitting everything into the day! We had a few days of rain which did not hinder us in the least. We had cable TV, puzzles to complete, board games to play, internet access, and friendly neighbors.

My only regret is that we did not discover this house earlier. My husband and I, as well as our children, are counting the days until next summer when we hope to spend more time relaxing on the beach, playing tennis on the association courts (3 minute walk from the house), and enjoying family barbecues on the deck after an active summer day!

Perfect Vacation Spot

Had the opportunity to spend time here last summer and found it to be a fantastic get away. The house is clean, has lots of comfortable furniture, a well equipped kitchen, Cable TV and internet, outdoor picnic table, and even includes kayaks and bikes!

Plenty to do - tennis (5 minute walk down the street), biking, swimming and hanging out on the beach (steps outside the door). The community center is a short 5 minute walk and includes a cute diner/luncheonette with outdoor seating overlooking venetian harbor and the boats. The association even offers swimming, sailing, and tennis lessons for kids, although we did not take advantage of these.

In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing on the 2nd floor balcony overlooking the water and the sunsets. Barbeques on the back deck were a family favorite.

Highly recommended - I am hoping to get back again this summer!
