I stayed in Ta Kolina in June 2010 with my husband, daughter, sister and brother in law. The booking was very easy to make and all payment instructions were simple and easy to follow. The farmhouse was very easy to find, with car parking immediately outside the front door.
On entering the farmhouse we were amazed at its size and grandeur. Through the long entrance hall, and the farmhouse opened up into an inner central hall. There was a snooker room, and a shower/wc off this hallway, and then into the open plan lounge and dining room, which was very nicely furnished with all the comforts of home. There was a lovely kitchen area with everything provided to enable you to prepare and cook as if you were in your own home.
The pool was huge, very clean, and surrounded by lovely trees and plants. There were comfortable sunloungers, and plenty of seating and umbrellas, which we really needed as it was very hot. We made good use of the barbecue, and recomend the local butcher for his wonderful steaks and special home made barbecue sausages. They were absolutely delicious.
Back inside the farmhouse, up the sweeping staircase, and a lovely double bedroom with fourposter bed ,and a twin/ family room both with ensuite to the front of the house.
At the back of the farmhouse a lovely double, and a twin both with ensuite and a balcony right across both overlooking the pool area.Perfect !!!
The surrounding area was lovely, and the village of Nadur was very clean, and the locals were all very friendly nothing is too much trouble to them. The local supermarkets were reasonably priced, and even delivered your shopping straight into your kitchen !!!! The bars and restaurants we found be good value with something to suit all tastes and pockets, and don't forget about the little bakery/cake shop. But be warned you need to get there early.
The church in the square was well worth a visit, as was the maritime museum.
Further afield, but nothing is too far away, lovely beach at Ramla Bay, enjoy the delicious seafood restaurants with great sea views in Xlendi. The Citadel in Victoria, Nanus Cave in nearby Xhagra, The Blue Lagoon, Azure Window and the list goes on.
This was our second time to Gozo, and although it is a small island, we have still not seen all there is to see.
Hire a car if possible,it is so much easier to get around. We cannot wait to return, and would happily recommend this farmhouse to anyone.
But don't all book at once because we want first pick!!!!!
