Just what we needed for the four of us. Close to subway. Good tips from the owner with regards restaurants and coffee shops in the neighbourhood. Everything you needed with regards to household was available. Lovely. We would come again.
The apartment was beautiful, far more spacious than suggested by the photos. All communications with the owner were prompt, and she was extremely flexible and helpful. Minor issues that can occur in any household were resolved ASAP. Little touches such as homemade banana bread on arrival, and assorted teas made it clear that this owner really appreciates her guests. The location felt safe, with a very short walk to the subway station and a quick ride to Manhattan.
This place is and has everything you could possibly need for a fantastic stay in New York! The apartment is gorgeous, comfortable, lovely... the neighborhood is amazing... just steps to cool shops and bars and restaurant that are not swarming with 20-somethings. And the best part? The peaceful backyard... candles, fountain, stars... amazing. Don't stay anywhere else. This is the best.
A beautiful place in a nice, clean, safe neighborhood. It was so easy to just jump on one train and quickly get right to the center of Manhattan. I loved the decor and the gorgeous backyard.... It felt like home - only better! I highly recommend!
Excellently located, in a charming out-of-the mainstreet NYC neighborhood with a great list of recommendations for restaurants, bakeries, etc. from the landlord.
The connection to Manhattan is ok, it takes some 10 minutes to walk to the connecting subway station.
The apartment could have been brighter. But depending on what your plans are for your stay in NY - this is nothing that should keep you from opting for this place.
We thoroughly enjoyed the calmness in the apartment, a true asset when visiting New York. The garden, in particular, offers a fantastic refuge to recharge batteries before and after exploring Manhatten & Co.
