I am staying in this apartment now and loving it so much that I decided to say so here. The apartment was SPOTLESS on my arrival and the owner's representative was waiting for me when my taxi pulled up. I was worried the scent of food from the falafel restaurant downstairs might rise up here but this has not happened at all during my four weeks in the apt. The location is fantastic, two blocks from Saint Paul Metro, just a little further to Places des Vosges and right in the heart of the Marais. Inside the apt, there is plenty of sunlight, good lighting in the main room and sleeping area. The apt is quiet which is important because I have been working at the dining room table. Internet works very fast (it was slow when I arrived, so I disconnected it then started it again, now super fast). Plenty of hot water in the shower, WC very clean (even though there is no photo here, not to worry), kitchen appliances in great condition, wonderful to have washer/dryer. Generous size closet too. Already looking forward to staying here again. I had wondered when I saw this apartment what it was really like, since there were no guest comments. Now you know.
This apartment was a perfect base of operations for our 9 days in Paris. The kitchen & bath are new & well equipped. There is a laundry room with a large closet. Everything works perfectly. The living room windows open to the lively cobblestone street lined with boutiques, restaurants, & bakeries. The crepes stand down the street was outstanding. The apartment is a short walk to the Saint-Paul Metro. The bed & convertible couch are both comfortable. We appreciated the fast wireless Internet and free international phone calls. We will certainly look to stay here again on our next trip to Paris.
My girlfriend and I stayed in this apartment for 10 nights. It was a truly outstanding experience. It is wonderfully located in the heart of the Marais. It is very central, very close to the metro (St. Paul) and the key bus lines (such as bus 69), so getting to any major site was easy. The suburb itself is bustling and exciting, with great restaurants, bars, bakeries, and boutique stores.
The apartment is fully kitted out with all the appliances one needs - induction stove, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer, and best of all....a Nespresso machine. Perhaps even more importantly, the apartment had many grocery items in it already saving the hassle of having to go and buy things when you arrive (things like salt and sugar, olive oil, washing powder, and Nespresso capsules).
The bed was comfortable, and there were enough pillows and blankets - as well as extra towels. The flat is in the 2nd floor with no lift and a tight stairwell, but we never had an issue with it. When we were greeted upon arrival we were helped with our suitcases up the stairs. And in any case, doing 15-20km walking a day in Paris means that a few stairs to the flat don't really affect you.
The flat was neat and tidy when we arrived - we arrived a little early and the cleaning lady was still busy. When we came back from breakfast the flat was very clean.
The only comment I will make that should be taken into consideration is that it can be a bit loud, especially Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. This isn't an issue with the apartment itself - the Marais area is always full of bustling people and nightlife, which goes on until the early hours (2-3AM).
Overall, however, the apartment in Rue des Rosiers exceeded our expectations. We had a magical time in Paris - we will gladly recommend this place to others and will certainly return ourselves.
This apartment on Rue des Rosiers in the heart of Marais was home for my wife and me for two weeks. On arrival we found it exactly as described, well equipped and spotless. It is on the second floor but very easily reached by stairs. It is quiet, and my wife said she slept more soundly in those two weeks than she had for months!
Supermarket supplies were found easily only a short walk away, as was the Bastille market on the Sunday morning. Everything was available for cooking our own meals, although we ate out just as often. Nearby cafes and restaurants are excellent - we particularly recommend a brasserie called Camille.
The location is perfect for tourism, and we were able to walk to most major locations, including Notre-Dame, Les Invalides, Saint-Chapelle, Luxembourg Gardens, the Pompidou Centre (which also provides a great view of Paris), and the Pantheon, The St Paul metro station is only a few minutes walk away and this was useful for reaching Musee d'Orsay, Sacre-Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and Tuileries, and the major stations which gave access to Versailles and Fontainbleau.
I have no hesitation in recommending this apartment as giving wonderful value in location and comfort; we would happily stay there again. Top marks!
Local shopping, particularly in boutiques, is very good
This spacious studio apartment has the perfect location and amenities for either a short or long-term stay. It looks and feels brand new, has state of the art appliances, and is located in a quiet, primarily pedestrian, boutique-lined street within the beautiful le marais neighborhood. Can't say enough good things about it !!!
Usually quite picky, very critical, always looking for a great deal...I must say, I sure lucked out this time! I need to look no further, as this flat was perfect for me! For Paris standards, it is huge! Loft like, with pretty wood floors, brick wall and ceiling beams. The furnishings are a little sparse, but adequate. I would love to see one more big comfortable chair for reading/working/tv..and maybe some local artwork on the walls. Otherwise...it works well. The kitchen and baths are brand new. Great shower, comfortable bed! Washer/dryer and storage are a huge plus! I stayed two weeks and was provided with endless coffee, maid service after a week, an immediate response to a couple minor issues. The owner is friendly, speaks perfect english...extremely helpful. I love the sun, and street view from the big front windows, the local shops, the quick walk to the metro, the lively neighborhood. I will definitely be back...already trying to figure out just how soon I can get there!
In the heart of Paris, in the heart of the Marais, the historic district, alive and connected, where mansions rub shoulders, museums, art galleries, fashion boutiques and souvenirs.
Note that the Marais is a pedestrian area Sunday, making it an ideal place for very pleasant walks.
You are 50 meters from the Metro Saint Paul, line 1, which serves the whole of Paris (Bastille, the Louvre, Les Jardins des Tuileries, Concorde, Champs Elysées, ...).
You are also a few minutes walk from the Place des Vosges, the City Hall (and its outdoor ice rink in winter), the Ile de la Cité, Notre Dame, Beaubourg, Les Halles, the banks of the Seine (Paris beach and summer).
