Our luxury vacation rental home is situated at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Golden, British Columbia, Canada. There are winter and summer sports on your doorstep: Skiing, snow-boarding, sledding, golf, hiking, mountain biking and of course, good old fashioned peaceful relaxation.
We are the only home on the mountain to offer two hot tubs. One eight person hot tub on the main, entertaining floor and a second more intimate, two person hot tub on the lower level.
Each of our four bedrooms comes with an en suite bathroom as standard.
Each of these four bedrooms has its own TV and digital satellite box. There is a fifth TV located in the media room, again, with its own digital satellite box. There need never be any arguments about whose turn it is with the remote control!
Our main floor is set up with a high vaulted, kitchen, living and dining area. With each area enjoying its own generous floor space, providing a fabulous entertaining arena.
Golden's well renowned golf course is located just down the ski hill road. In Golden itself, you will find restaurants and the portals to paragliding, white water rafting, hiking, biking and walking.
There are two well stocked supermarkets in Golden itself and a general store located at the resort.
Grizzly Bear Refuge: 'Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is home to the world’s largest enclosed and protected grizzly bear habitat. This is where resident orphan grizzly bear Boo lives and plays. Visitors are given the opportunity, as part of a one-of-a-kind interpretive tour, to view a grizzly bear interacting much as they do in the wild; foraging, hunting, playing, swimming, snoozing and exploring. Starting at 9am tours are held every hour on the hour throughout the summer season. The Refuge is open daily and guests are welcome to stay as long as they wish.'
Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre, 15km North West of Golden: 'Northern Lights Wildlife Wolf Centre promotes wolf and bear conservation throughout the natural environment. Winter or summer, spring or fall, the fun takes place at the wolf enclosure, so it's a chance to see wolves up close... hear them... watch them move like a ghost through the trees... and learn many fascinating facts about wolves.'
