Where to even begin… This was a solo journey for me as a newly independent middle-aged-woman so I was a bit nervous about the beach driving and being on my own; however, it was the perfect vacation and perfect location. I had a truly memorable, life changing and life affirming experience during my week at Sea-Ya-Round. The beach house is cozy and comfortable and the hot tub was the perfect way to end the day while listening to the ocean and staring at the stars; not to forget the time spent in the gazebo – fabulous! I highly recommend visitors take a day and spend in False Cape State Park, either going in off the beach or driving to the main NC entrance. I walked 9 miles in the Park one day and witnessed a beautiful change of scenery, terrain and colors. The ocean trail brings you to a magnificent stretch of beach and sand dunes and my favorite photos are from that area. I also spent an afternoon walking about the roads of Carova in search of the wild ponies and I was not disappointed. And, of course, beach walking each day was a must! October was perfect for me as I loved the solitude the surroundings afforded me, yet never felt lonely.
I arrived early in the evening and later than anticipated, but Jennifer, the housekeeper, was kind enough to have turned on a number of lights, which was very welcoming. Jack, what can I say…you are a FABULOUS host; much thanks and appreciation for your care and concern, as well as your quick responses, phone calls, and assistance with all of my questions! I am looking forward to your watercolor print of Sea-Ya-Round as a warm reminder of my experience.
What a wonderful way to spend some quality time on my own and be fully in the moment and completely relaxed. THANK YOU, thank you, thank you!

OMG, where to begin. I'm so touched by the real, and down to earth review of your week in "Sea Ya Round". You used the word fabulous to describe your trip, but that is the same word that I would use to describe your review. It warms my heart to know that you found the peace and quiet you were seeking for your (get away from it all) adventure. You are a classy lady, with a great laugh, and easy going way about you! I don't think that I've ever walked nine miles in False Cape State Park, it had to be a great day and I'm glad you roamed all around Carova Beach and found the wild mustangs. Can't wait to see your photos of the horses! Lecia, I'm pleased that you thought the house was cozy and comfortable and that you enjoyed the Stars from the hot tub and the views from the gazebo.
