Villa review

I have rented several villas and was not very impressed with this so called "villa that has it all".
In summary the villa and location over promised and under delivered with.
1. Poor location. It was not close to anything really and had to drive everywhere.
2. Crystal beach not having a beach but a small mud flat.
3. The villa being very dated with old fixtures/fittings and furniture and a very ineffective air conditioning that had a mind of its own.
4. Was also not impressed about the list of do/don'ts and continual warnings about misuse (such as turning the air conditioning below 78F) would result in loss of deposit.
Would not rent this property again and would certainly not recommend it.
Owner's Response: This is our first negative review in nearly 4 years, and clearly you can’t please everybody, as we have all seen on many a review site.
However, we are delighted to have many returning visitors from all over the world, which suggests that our home is perfect for most people.
One of the unique features of our home - which is appreciated by our guests - is its peaceful, relaxed location, as mentioned on the webpage. Most areas in this part of Florida require a car to access shops and restaurants, unless you stay in a busy, built-up resort like Clearwater Beach.
Again, on the webpage, we clearly mention the ‘small beaches’ of Crystal Beach, and we are extremely fortunate to be within ten minutes’ drive of the world-class beaches of Honeymoon and Caladesi Islands. Our house is very close to magnificent views of the Gulf of Mexico, its birdlife and amazing sunsets, which can be seen from the local beaches.
The house itself is only ten years old, and all the furniture and fittings are less than 4 years old, with bed and bath linen and kitchen items regularly replaced. Just look at the pictures!
Regarding the air-conditioning, we find that occasionally we have guests who are unfamiliar with an air-conditioned home, tend to leave windows and doors open, and do not understand how the system works. In July, while we were there ourselves, the whole system had its annual overhaul and we know that it was (as usual) working perfectly.
In the case of any problems at all at our home, our very efficient managing agents have a 24-hour helpline to assist our guests.
