About Kristin & Daniel
We have visited the Steamboat Springs area for over 20 years. During our first visits to Steamboat, we fell in love with the broad range of year-round activities and the low key attitude of the community. In the winter, our family enjoys snowshoing, skiing, sledding, snowmobiling, and relaxing in the nearby hot springs. During the summer, we enjoy hiking, fishing, horseback riding, tubing the Yampa River, and just sitting on the porch watching the deer and elk graze in the pasture. Dry Creek Ranch has truly been a blessing and we hope that you enjoy the experience as much as we do!

Why Kristin & Daniel chose Steamboat Springs
There are hundreds of properties to rent near Steamboat. This place is truly unique. You are totally secluded here, but still less than 15 minutes from town. You have to really try to even see a very distant rooftop off in Yampa Valley. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a private place for two families where the kids can run around on private, safe property, this is your place.
As far as the surrounding area is concerned, we chose Steamboat Springs because it's an old west community that happens to have an amazing array of the latest outdoor activities in it's back yard, as opposed to a ski area that built a town at it's base. We love that the foundation of this community was built on a true western ranching lifestyle. Now add a world class ski area and and Olympic Winter Sports Training Facility (Howlson Hill) and you have the making of a truly special place.
Guestbook comments from the owner
The cabin was awesome. We love the fireplace and hot tub. It was awesome to have a kid-friendly place with pack and play, safety electric outlets, and a booster seat. The snowboarding ruled. We only had to drive 15 minutes. What a difference from driving from Denver!
