This second story, two bedroom residence is nestled among the stately willow oaks of Myers Park, where curving avenues, gracious homes and small parks combine to make one of the most liveable neighborhoods in the South.
Located 1 mile from Uptown, home to multiple museums, the convention center, Bobcats Arena and the Epicentre entertainment complex, Myers Park is where generations of prominent Charlotteans have made their home since the neighborhood was created by famous landscape architect John Nolen in 1911.
We've maintained the character of the historic 1920's apartment building, while completely updating and renovating the interior. Stainless appliances with granite countertops, new heating and cooling systems and plumbing provide modern amenities, while the original refinished hardwoods, plaster walls, bathroom tile, high ceilings and 2-panel doors provide the charm so often absent in new construction.
In addition to large double-hung windows throughout the home, a sunroom with floor-to-ceiling windows lets in an abundance of light, while the adjacent balcony allows you to enjoy the outside, whether for breakfast in the morning or for a drink or meal in the evening. Since the apartment is located on the second floor, to the rear of the building, it's quiet and private. Off-street parking is also provided.
The galley kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, utensils, etc., a professional-grade gas range with convection oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, disposal, and a stackable washer and dryer. Off of the kitchen, a dining area comfortably seats four but can seat up to six.
In the spacious living room, upholstered furniture provides comfortable seating, an internet enabled 3-D flatscreen television offers streaming Netflx and Hulu as well as other options. We hope you'll enjoy the fully stocked bar, too.
A desk (wifi included) in the adjacent sunroom enables business travelers to work in a beautiful tree-top setting, and a table allows for dining in the sunroom.
400-thread-count linens and thick Egyptian cotton towels offer all of the comforts of home, and each bedroom has a generous closet and a television. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, the second offers two twins.
Wide sidewalks and towering oaks throughout the neighborhood provide an ideal place for walking or jogging, and a coffee shop, multiple restaurants (including Ethiopian, Thai, casual and fine Italian, etc.), shopping and even an independent movie theater are a half mile away. Spring through fall, a farmers market is open Wed, Fri and Sat around the corner from the apartment, and a new greenway offers a convenient connection to Freedom Park, Dilworth and Carolinas Medical Center.
Ideal for short- or long-term stays for business or pleasure, or when visiting someone at either CMC or Presbyterian Hospitals, our goal is for you to feel at home during your stay. We'll try hard to accommodate almost any special request and we live less than 2 miles away, so are readily available should something come up. We look forward to hosting you. .
Great apartment - very comfortable and brilliant as a base for our vacation touring North and South Carolina from England. We stayed in an upstairs apartment and it was really nice having the trees as our view everywhere we looked. The restaurant recommendations were spot-on - everyone should eat at 300 East! Would certainly look at staying in one of Jim and James' apartments next time we are in the area.
