Comfortable family apartment, ideally located on great complex - Sleeps 6

2-bed, first floor, family apartment (sleeps 6) is located on the San Jaime complex overlooking the pool. It comprises one double bedroom and one smaller bedroom with twin beds, built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. The living area has a large corner sofa incorporating a pull out double bed and chaise lounge. The kitchen/dining area and bathroom are fully equipped. There is a small terrace to the rear and a larger terrace to the front with gate for child safety.

The San Jaime complex is very close to the centre of the resort and only a five minute walk to the magnificent beach of Son Bou. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with pool bar), children's paddling pool, tennis courts and children's play area.

The beach, the best on the island, offers excellent bathing and water sport facilities. The resort has a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. There is a play area, water slides, bowling alley and amusement centre.

About Menorca: Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic Islands which lie in the Mediterranean off the South Coast of Spain. With a more conservative atmosphere than its sister islands, Majorca and Ibiza, it is ideal for a relaxing family holiday in a tranquil setting.

There are over a hundred beaches ranging from small coves to long stretches of sand. The longest beach in Menorca is Son Bou – nearly 3 km of pale golden sand.

Situated on Menorca's south coast and approximately 20 minutes drive from Mahon airport, Son Bou is a firm favourite with families.

About Son Bou: There is something for everyone in Son Bou. It can be relaxing but there is plenty to do, if you wish. The beach at Son Bou slopes gently down into clear blue waters which offer excellent bathing and water sport facilities. There are several beach bars and the usual sun beds and umbrellas are available to hire, as well as pedaloes, and for the more adventurous, banana boat rides and speed boat hire.

The beach is within easy walking distance of the centre of the resort which is made up of mainly low level developments and villas nestling into the hills behind.

There is a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops catering for all tastes and requirements. For the children, there is a play area, water slides and a 16 lane 10-pin bowling alley and amusement centre.

About San Jaime apartments: San Jaime apartments are ideally located close to the centre of the resort and only a short walk to the magnificent beach. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with a pool bar), children’s paddling pool, tennis courts and children’s play area. The popular ‘Club San Jaime’ centre is a short distance away with water slides, supermarket, shops, restaurant and medical centre.

Another fabulous holiday in Son Bou

I have stayed in this apt before and loved it then but this time it was even better. The new fully modernised kitchen was a fabulous addition making the living area bigger and brighter, there was everything in the kitchen you could possibly require and the new washing machine was great as we were there for two weeks we could wash beach towels, swimming costumes etc half way through the holiday.
The apt is about 10 mins from one of the best beaches I have ever visited and this had been re-vamped since my last visit.
It is about 2 mins walk from the centre of Son bou where there are an array of different bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets.
I look forward to visiting here again in the near future.

Fantastic property in a superb family resort!

What a wonderful modernised apartment. It really was like home from home with a beautiful fitted kitchen and modern living and eating area. Very well kept; maintained and clean. The property is in an ideal location with a pool view and then fantastic views of the Med beyond that. There are then two more pools within a couple of minutes walk all of which have great pool bars reasonably priced for drinks meals and snacks during the day. The Sam Jamie pool bar / restaurant also has some great entertainment on of an evening. Well worth a visit if you enjoy a good show.
The beach at Son Bou is only a short walk away. You cannot go to Son Bou without spending time on this beautiful beach which is very clean and well looked after. There are also plenty of activities to keep the kids happy (banana boat, sports themed inflatables etc.)
Of an evening it is only a few minutes walk into the town where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from catering for all tastes all of which seemed really well priced. I would especially recommend spending an evening or two at the beach bars watching the sun go down where the food is excellent.
All in all this is a superb modern apartment in a great family friendly resort with plenty to do for everybody.
If you find a better Mojito than the one served in the local pool bar please let me know. Delicious!!!

What a fantastic family holiday we had

What a stunning property. Perfect for everything. Views overlooking the pool and views of the sea in the distance, The property was perfectly situated for all amenities, shops, bars, supermarkets and entertainment all directly on your door step. Gillian was fantastic to deal with and the property was super clean. We had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend this property, so much so we are looking at booking again next summer. The only negative we have to say about our stay was that Liverpool beat United whilst we were there LOL!!!!!!! Thank you Gillian and thank you home away.

Beyond Expectations

Gillian has a wonderful home .... just turn up and get straight on with your holiday. Everything you need for a fantastic self-catering holiday ! Having been in the travel industry for most of my working career and contracted properties for UK tour operators and also involved in management of self-catering apartments, we can honestly say that there is all you need in the apartment ... and more. The inventory is 'beyond expectations'. Furnishings well co-ordinated and very comfortable. Gill is very effiecient in the handling of your reservation and provides all the information you may need. The position of the apartment is ideal with beautiful sea views and gorgious sunsets to view if you decide to have a relaxing drink on the terrace at night. Try the on-site bakery offering delicious fresh croissants and pastries! The supermarket is competitively priced and well-stocked. In the evening take a stroll along to watch the musical acts each evening. Well worth seeing. A recommendation is the 'Sunset Bar' on the beach for friendly service and a fantastic choice of tapas. Do something you would not do in the UK ! We have no hesitation in recommnending the property and would love to return .... if we can get a booking as Gill deserves to be full all season with such a wonderful apartment !

PERFECT FAMILY HOLIDAY

We've just returned from Gill's apartment after a fabulous two week stay. The location, facilities and options available ensured that we had a perfect family holiday. The apartment is modern, well maintained, immaculately clean and perfectly situated in the complex for access to swimming pool, restaurant/bar, supermarket, gardens and tennis courts. The superb beach, main restaurants and bars in the centre of Son Bou are a only a five minute walk from the apartment giving plenty of options for day or night leisure and entertainment. It was a refreshing change from the standard package/hotel holidays and offered far better value for money, I could not find any fault with apartment or location and will definitely be returning. Would recommend to my closest friends and family and only wish we had discovered this sooner.

Great mini break, would definitely go again.

This is a lovely, well maintained, modern apartment.
It has a great location, situated overlooking the main pool and restaurant with sea views also. There is another pool two minutes away where there are 2 water slides that are great fun for a couple of euros.
It is within a few minutes walking distance of the town where there is an array of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, some of the bars have entertainment on at night.
There are plenty of shops and numerous supermarkets if you fancy a night in, there are also a couple of takeaways.
The beach , which is approximately 5 mins walk from the apt, has a lovely sandy beach, where in season there are lots of water sport activities.
I went to Son Bou for 5 days with a friend but it Is also a great location for families young and old.
Would highly recommend and will definitely visit again.

For those that enjoy walking, there is a 1 hour walk along a coastal path to Santo Tomas. The drive to Santo Tomas will take approx 15 minutes and a further 15 minutes to the picturesque resort of Cala Galdana. The resorts of Cala en Porter and Binibeca are also within 15-20 minutes drive.

The town of Alayor is the nearest major town, 10 minutes away. Mahon, a great place to visit is 20 minutes away.

For golfers, the resort of Son Parc is on the north west side of the island but is within 30 minutes drive.
