Comfortable family apartment, ideally located on great complex - Sleeps 6

2-bed, first floor, family apartment (sleeps 6) is located on the San Jaime complex overlooking the pool. It comprises one double bedroom and one smaller bedroom with twin beds, built-in wardrobes and ceiling fans. The living area has a large corner sofa incorporating a pull out double bed and chaise lounge. The kitchen/dining area and bathroom are fully equipped. There is a small terrace to the rear and a larger terrace to the front with gate for child safety.

The San Jaime complex is very close to the centre of the resort and only a five minute walk to the magnificent beach of Son Bou. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with pool bar), children's paddling pool, tennis courts and children's play area.

The beach, the best on the island, offers excellent bathing and water sport facilities. The resort has a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops. There is a play area, water slides, bowling alley and amusement centre.

About Menorca: Menorca is the second largest of the Balearic Islands which lie in the Mediterranean off the South Coast of Spain. With a more conservative atmosphere than its sister islands, Majorca and Ibiza, it is ideal for a relaxing family holiday in a tranquil setting.

There are over a hundred beaches ranging from small coves to long stretches of sand. The longest beach in Menorca is Son Bou – nearly 3 km of pale golden sand.

Situated on Menorca's south coast and approximately 20 minutes drive from Mahon airport, Son Bou is a firm favourite with families.

About Son Bou: There is something for everyone in Son Bou. It can be relaxing but there is plenty to do, if you wish. The beach at Son Bou slopes gently down into clear blue waters which offer excellent bathing and water sport facilities. There are several beach bars and the usual sun beds and umbrellas are available to hire, as well as pedaloes, and for the more adventurous, banana boat rides and speed boat hire.

The beach is within easy walking distance of the centre of the resort which is made up of mainly low level developments and villas nestling into the hills behind.

There is a wide selection of bars, restaurants and shops catering for all tastes and requirements. For the children, there is a play area, water slides and a 16 lane 10-pin bowling alley and amusement centre.

About San Jaime apartments: San Jaime apartments are ideally located close to the centre of the resort and only a short walk to the magnificent beach. They are set in beautifully manicured gardens with a large communal pool (with a pool bar), children’s paddling pool, tennis courts and children’s play area. The popular ‘Club San Jaime’ centre is a short distance away with water slides, supermarket, shops, restaurant and medical centre.

For those that enjoy walking, there is a 1 hour walk along a coastal path to Santo Tomas. The drive to Santo Tomas will take approx 15 minutes and a further 15 minutes to the picturesque resort of Cala Galdana. The resorts of Cala en Porter and Binibeca are also within 15-20 minutes drive.

The town of Alayor is the nearest major town, 10 minutes away. Mahon, a great place to visit is 20 minutes away.

For golfers, the resort of Son Parc is on the north west side of the island but is within 30 minutes drive.

  • Cleaning: The apartment will be cleaned and prepared for arrival with adequate bed linen and towels, and changed once per week by property management services based in Son Bou.

    Changeover: Friday is the most common arrival / departure day, however, this is flexible.

    Accessibility: The property is located on the first floor (up one set of stairs) - it is therefore not suitable for wheelchairs or anyone with walking difficulties. Car parking is located at the rear of the apartment.

Perfect Holiday

This Apartment is in an ideal situation,with lovely sea views, we could even see Majorca from the balcony.The Apartment is a lovely ,clean and well maintained property with everything you need for a great holiday which is what we had.It is on a great site with 3 pools several restaurants and beautiful gardens.A short walk takes you into town.Here you wil find supermarkets,bars,restaurants to suit every taste ,shope and a bowling alley.Our favourite restaurant was Cas Andres and our favourite bar by far was The Casablanca with live shows nearly every night this was the place to be.The Beach at Son Bou is fantastic with a long stretch of white sand and shallow waters.Aperfect place in every way,cant wait to return in fact i wish i was there now on the balcony overlooking the pool with a glass of sangria.PERFECT.

E' stata una vacanza veramente fantastica. La posizione dell'appartamento è veramente comoda e garantisce il massimo relax. La spiaggia che si trova a pochi passi non è molto affollata e adatta per chi vuole realmente rilassarsi senza trovare il caos. Il mare è stupendo e ideale per ragazzi e famiglie con bambini piccoli. Insomma non posso che essere soddisfatta dell'accoglienza.

Superb location

We are just back from another fantastic trip to Son Bou, We found the apartment to be comfortable and well maintained in comparison to others, the Location was fantastic for pool access and also a few minutes walk brought you into the centre of Son Bou. There are plenty of good quality bars and restaurants offering a variety of foods.

Son Bou beach is the reason we keep returning, long stretches of glorious white sands with plenty of space for everybody.

Gillian is very obliging, we extended our dates just before departure and she could not have been more helpful.

We Will definitely return, hopefully in September

FANTASTIC HOLIDAY

We have just spent an amazing two weeks in Gills apartment. The apartment was lovely, spacious, clean with great veiws overlooking the pool and sea. This was our 3rd visit to Son Bou and I cant wait to return. There is a choice of three pools on the site, with water slides on the middle pool which the kids had great fun on. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, our favourite was the Irish Tavern which we found to be very reasonable and friendly. The beach is close by and very clean and as the sea is gentle shelving it is ideal for young children. Thanks for helping to make it a great holiday Gill.

San Jaime in Menorca is brilliant

San Jaime is an excellent place to spend a summer holiday. Very relaxed with good restaurants close by and lots for children to do. The appartments are well-appointed and beautifully laid out in well-kept gardens.

This appartment is in a particularly convenient location.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
