We began to build Hostal Casa Culebra in the 90s, wanting an outcome which reflected simplicity, respect and harmony with Culebra’s environment, which, because it is an Island, is classified as a fragile ecosystem that requires more planning and care. The Hostal complex is small to medium scale, consonant with the space and resources of the island, generating less impact on the natural and social environment, and allowing a greater connection and empathy with the place and its people. It was designed to provide a quiet and comfortable space where you can relax, have fun, and find out about everything Culebra has to offer.
It has seven fully equipped apartments located in front of Ensenada Honda Bay; large balconies, a dock for guests who travel by boat, a gazebo and several spaces where the ocean breeze and nature will fill you with the Hostel’s tranquility and beauty. When you arrive, leave behind the hustle; do not measure time in the usual way; and let the rhythm that dominates Culebra embrace you, which is the rhythm of Nature.

Hostal Casa Culebra's surroundings: : -An open and communal gazebo with ceiling fans, a small library of Culebra, and game tables.
-Four areas (the gazebo, the floating dock next to the gazebo, in front of the rooms, and a wooden deck) designed to share with your family or other guests, areas for passive activities such as sunbathing, reading, talking, drinking, drawing, writing, taking pictures, meditating or observing nature.
-Wireless Internet connections are available, at not extra charge, for your own computer.
-Space to park your bicycle or car (one car per apartment).
-A dock where you can anchor your boat, for an additional charge (depending on the size of your boat). The pier has water, electricity (additional cost) and a sink to clean the fish you catch.
-A store with ice machine, washer and dryer, run by the Hostal staff.
-By reserving an apartment for two nights, you receive a 10 pound bag of ice at the time of arrival. More is available for an additional fee.
-A structural design that collects and uses rainwater.
-Views to Ensenada Honda Bay from every corner of Hostal Casa Culebra.
For an additional fee, Hostal staff can coordinate excursions by water at different beaches of Culebra. Rates depend on the type of picnic and site chosen. Subject to the availability of the captain and sea conditions.
Sale of fresh fish (if available).
Special rate for groups wishing to reserve the entire Hostal.
Staff (all Culebra residents) who will provide transportation at the time of arrival and departure (when two nights or more are reserved).
