Place Adolphe Max is located in the North West area of Paris, South of the Moulin Rouge landmark, between Metro Clichy and Blanche in the 9th arrondissement. It is walking distance to the Montmartre Sacre Coeur. Maps show it as a green spot because of the Square Hector Berlioz. The apartment's balconies and shutters open onto the square overlooking the trees. A quiet haven in the most Parisian of neighborhoods: Montmartre and Pigalle (named after Jean-Baptiste Pigalle, a 19th century painter and sculptor).
This truly special full floor condominium of 1450 square foot is airy, bright, private, and conveniently located. It is four flights up with elevator. The building is turn of the century with an interior courtyard and an iron gate entrance. Retaining its Epoque original charm, it is now complemented by all the modern necessities.
It is extremely well located to all transportation such as the metro, buses, taxis, and with easy access by cab to the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, Gare St Lazare or Gare du Nord.
It has three bedrooms, a formal dining room, a spacious living room, a full bath, one half bath with a W.C and another separate W.C off the main bathroom. Two bedrooms have queen-size beds and there is a single bed in the third bedroom/office. The office/bedroom is equipped with a copier/fax machine, and has separate voice and data lines and Wi-Fi. The living room has cable TV and a stereo system with Bose speakers. The kitchen is small by American standards but is fully-equipped, and functional with a conventional oven, a microwave oven, a toaster, an electric water boiler, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a stove top. The kitchen has a breakfast nook with three stools. The washer and the dryer are in the rear bathroom.
There is a concierge in the building and it is situated on a quiet residential block. Access to the building is by code access through an iron gate that faces a roundabout where the building is located. The daily shopping is very easy, one block away, at the markets on famous rue Lepic and in all of Montmartre's neighborhood, and good size supermarkets. Transportation is very convenient: metro, buses, and taxis stations are one block away. Coming from the Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport, we enter Paris through either Porte de la Chapelle or Porte St. Ouen.
Renovated and fully equipped. The walls are white, and the floor is terra cotta tile in the rear courtyard side section. The front part has hardwood floors in the dining room, living room, and two bedrooms which all face the square. The flat sleeps four (4) people very comfortably and a twin bed will accommodate an extra person. It is ideal for a couple with two children or two couples.
This neighborhood is known for its artists hangouts. You will still find numerous ateliers turned museums such as the Gustave Moreau Museum and the Museum of Romantic Life.
It's will stay a family home for generations even if I am a San Franciscan at heart.
Location, location, location. Can't ask for more. Close to all public transports. Being only 1/2 block away walking distance from metro, buses and taxis but a world away from the Paris hustle and bustle.
