Surf Villas Oceanfront..Sawgrass CC..Remodeled and Redecorated in 2011

We had a wonderful stay during our nearly two-week visit – the highlights: spacious (for a one bedroom), updated bathroom, nicely outfitted kitchen, very quiet, plenty of surface parking, unobstructed views of the ocean, “front row seating” to sunrises, deck with plenty of seating and it’s a quick walk (about 50 feet) to the private beach that is very clean and very sparsely populated.  Since the beach is private, many dog owners have their dogs unleashed, but the dogs are focused on their balls and the beach rather than strangers passing by.  When walking / running on the beach, it’s a good idea to where sneakers as the sand is very hard and small shells litter the beach.

A couple of things that are good to know: 1) this top-floor garden style condo unit is accessible only by stair (15 steps) – no elevator; 2) the condo is in a gated community (24-hour guard on duty); 3) there are three comfortable reclining beach chairs on the premises (there is also one non-reclining chair); 4) there is no grill. Be sure to bring your own hair dryer and would suggest bringing your own beach umbrella and blender as these items are a bit weathered.  Also, many people bike (roads and on the beach) in Ponte Vedra… there are places to rent bikes but you need to drive a couple of miles so if you enjoy biking, it may make sense to bring your own.   In addition, many people fish in the waters of the private beach and just like biking, if this interests you, come prepared.

The owner is very friendly and attentive so if you need anything or have any issues, I wouldn't hesitate to contact the rental office, and they will get in touch with him as needed and you can expect a prompt response.

Lastly bring binoculars for a better view of the ships, water recreation and wildlife that will be playing outside your "backyard."
