House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Jekyll Island is state owned, and as such, development of the island is restricted to only 35% of the island creating a very quiet, laid-back atmosphere. If you want to "get away from it all," this is the place! The beaches are relatively undisturbed, and summer is a great time to see the huge sea turtles come onto the beach to lay their eggs.

This is a vacation rental that's large enough for the whole clan, yet comfortable for one or two, and it's located in the Jekyll Beach area. The home has lots of living areas, including a sunroom that's perfect for games and entertaining. The dining room table seats six, but if there are only two, just sit at the breakfast bar. Jekyll's newest wooden crossover to the beach is across the street. This house is on the west side of Beachview, and is approximately 100 yards from the beach.

There is a minimum rental of 4 nights required. 3% convenience fee added for credit card charges; may be avoided by paying via check prior to arrival.

Jekyll Island is a true beach vacation as I remember in the 80's. Jekyll has avoided the busy growth of nearby St. Simons, and as a state park, allows a quiet vacation experience.

What makes this house unique

Love to walk on the quiet beach with lots of areas with no crowds. I enjoy seeing the sea turtles, and even have deer in the yard in the evenings.

Great location

Our family enjoyed our stay very much. The weather did not cooperate for us to go to the beach, but the beach access was very handy. The house was nice and spacious enough that we were able to enjoy the rainy days we had. Would definitely like to go again.

We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the space. Our group had plenty of room between the living room, family room and sunroom and we really enjoyed our stay. My only tip is to watch out for the tricky front door. We ended up using the back door most often. The property itself is a great place to stay and really close to a great boardwalk to the beach. We had a great time renting bikes and seeing the island. We enjoyed miniature golf and visiting the shops in the historic district.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
Owner's Response: The front door automatically locks when it closes, and you have to turn the key while opening. I know it can be tricky, and hope it didn't distract too much. Thanks so much for your review - we're glad you enjoyed your stay!

Lovely beach house

We stayed at "Jekyll Beach" in August 2011 and had a great time. This house is light and airy and comfortable. We often went to the beach just across the road. We also drove down a few blocks to the public access beach. The house is in an easy spot on the island. We would love the stay there again.

We and two other couples stayed for a week. I was the trip planner and nervous about the impressions of the others. No worry there!. We all loved the house, the location to the beach, and the backyard. The house was perfect as you had space to get away when you wanted down time. I would recommend this home to anyone! Outstanding vacation rental

I rented this property for a wedding vow renewal weekend and it was great! there were bikes for the kids to ride, plenty of room. Comfortable, clean and close to the ocean dock. We really enjoyed our time and will definately recommend!
