Why Michelle (Realtor) chose Sunapee
The husband spent a lot of time on the other side of this pond when he was young. He and his brother would stay with his uncle. After being married and becoming a father, the family would spend time on the pond as well. It is a great place to make good memories. This house was for sale for a couple of years and we would go by on the boat and wonder about it. The area that we live in has intense traffic in the summer. One August the husband drove up here to visit and marveled that there was so little traffic. He said to himself 'this is more like it!' We looked at the house a month later. It had been empty for a couple of years and seemed to be calling out to a new family! We bought the house and gave it the TLC it needed and brought it back to life!
What makes this house unique
Water is always a draw for us. It is soothing and relaxing to be by the water, even if you don't swim! When you are on a pond, everyone is your neighbor. They go by in boats and wave even if they don't know you. Besides people, there are also ducks, loons, beavers, otter, and an occasional mink. We often see deer tracks on the side of the house away from the water. There is another acre of woods that separates us from the road. Just stay out of the woods on a windy day! And be sure to enjoy the swing and take advantage of the view at sunset. The game room is a nice place to spend a rainy day. If there are some who like to stay up late, you can shut doors and those who want to go to sleep cannot hear the activity going on in the game room. This is a great house to rent for your family and friends. And there is something to do regardless of the season that you visit.
