Great Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 2 days in August. We loved the cabin. Two hours after arriving there were 6 deer in the yard!!

The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking with matching plates and place settings (not always the case at house rentals!). The appliances were all clean and in great working order. It was raining so we did not get to grill, but there was a charcoal grill outside and a full bag of charcoal, alond with plenty of firewood for the firepit (again, raining so we didn't get the chance).

My dad and his wife stayed upstairs while my wife and I stayed in the downstair bedroom. The downstairs bed was probably the most comfortable bed I've ever had in Montana. No Joke. The sheets were very cozy and nice. Also, the towels were incredibly soft and full. The quality of the them was fantastic.

Since it was raining we stayed indoors in the evenings and this cabin was perfect for that. There is a TV and game table downstairs and cozy chairs and recliners upstairs. While I watched the Seahawks my dad was able to relax and read upstairs.

This cabin was perfect for us and we absolutely want to return. It's cozy, comfortable, and located in a perfect spot between Bozeman and Big Sky.

PS - Even though it was raining I pulled out the flyrod and did a little fishing in the Hellroaring Creek just upstream of the bridge. It's small, pocket water fishing which can be tricky, but I was able to get 3 rainbows of decent size for that creek (8" - 10").

Great Place - Great Cabin - Great Owner

  • 5 of 5

We chose the "Hellroaring Cabin" because of its closeness to the family cabin of our son-in-law. Our trip was planned so that we could spend time together with some of his family. We could not have asked for a better location - beautiful, quiet, and the sound of the creek "roaring" not too far away. While there we saw a moose and a deer enjoying a salt block placed in a tree stump. The cabin was very clean, well cared for and comfortable. The owner, Tim, lives just up the road and was very responsive to our questions. We will definitely stay there again when we go back to the Gallatin Canyon.

Perfect getaway of all time

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 2 weeks in the Hellroaring Cabin and found it to meet all of our needs perfectly.

Location:

Located the perfect distance away from the bustling town of Montana and yet close enough to reach them with a 20-30 min. drive. We enjoyed scoping out Bozeman's local haunts and yet indulged in the retreat of the cabin at the end of the day.

Amenities:

The house was just splendid. Natural materials and furnishings (rustic comfort) combined with high tech gadgets for alll your entertainment needs (wifi, satellite tv, roku, etc.) We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was fully outfitted for all of our needs. The fireplaces on each floor was also a luxury. Bedrooms had comfortable beds (walk in closet!). House was very spacious. The description in the posting is completely accurate.

Hospitality:

Tim was attentive to all of our needs and responded very quickly. Firewood magically appeared every time the stock ran low. We asked for a hot thermos to enjoy steaming french onion soup on the trails with us and we were promptly provided with 2 perfect canisters. We really enjoyed talking to him about the history of the area (wildlife protection, development, etc.), and we tapped into his deep knowledge of the trails/hot springs/natural wonders to visit. Very friendly and approachable.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was the most serene, and one of the most cozy, beautiful places we've stayed. The amenities were actually better than expected. Very close proximity to fishing and enjoying the great outdoors. We would definitely book it again!
