Included in your Rental Rate are passes to the South Venice Ferry which departs less than a mile from your house-(a short bike ride)! The 18 passenger ferry drops local passengers at a private, blissfully quiet stretch of Manasota Key with access to clear surf, deserted shore and spectacular shelling.

Shamrock Park and Nature Center, located 2 miles from your house, offers more than 80 acres of natural area land providing opportunities for nature study, educational hikes, environmental programs as well as facilities for active recreation. Bird hikes, butterfly garden tours, and nature hikes are offered throughout the year. The park serves as the trail head access for the south east portion of the Venetian Waterway Trail. The 10.2 mile trail offers park visitors the opportunity to walk, bike or roller blade from Shamrock Park to downtown Venice, the historic train station and Caspersen Beach.

The was a wonderful house. We enjoyed staying here. We would return in a heartbeat. The house was immaculate and very well decorated with a beach theme. Wonderful private pool that is maintained every week. Close to shopping and dining. Owners were very nice. I would recommend this property to anyone without reservation.

Everything we could hope for!

The house was just as listed, but even better! What a great home... everything was impeccably clean, well maintained, and beautifully decorated. So many little extras that you don't typically find in rental homes... beach chairs, coolers and even kitchen and laundry soap. The pool and screened patio was most enjoyable, we wish we were back again! Our beagle had a wonderful time laying in the sun, and a blast at the dog beach! Venice is a delightful area... we especially loved the gorgeous beach and the ferry ride, downtown Venice and the Rookery. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, many restaurants have outside dining and some offer doggie dinners. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner and our refund was almost immediate. We look forward to visiting again some day! Thanks Glenn!

What a great stay. Everything we expected and more

This place is even better in person than in pictures. Glenn and Bonnye have paid great attention to every detail, and everything is unbelievably well maintained. My one minor problem was resolved quickly and without effort and gladly by Glenn. Even though you are in a quiet area and just minutes to several beaches you are still close to all your shopping needs and restaurants. While you stay here, make sure to check out ABC liquor for great deals on wine and booze, Cedar Creek restaurant where you can eat fresh fish for 2 with wine for under $50 and for your Canine friends Brohard Paw Park beach and Woodmere Dog Park. At the Dome flea market get onto Capt Paul's email list for his fresh catch that arrives every Friday morning. I hope this doesn't sound like an ad, but I want the next visitors to enjoy their stay as much as we did!

Very, very well maintained home.

This home was like staying at our home. The pool was wonderful. All the amenities and accessories were there right down to the bikes and beach chairs. There's a shopping plaza about 2 miles away with restaurants, banks and shops. There's also a Walmart and pharmacy across from the shopping plaza on US41and Jacaranda. If you like seafood try the Cedar Reef Fish Camp. The beaches are very close by and the quaint downtown of Venice is 5 miles away. I would definitely stay there again. The owners are great.

Awesome vacation rental in a very nice town.

Immaculate, better than described. The whole property is extremely clean and well kept. Glenn was very attentive to any needs. Everything you would need is included in the house and most everything is brand new or like new. The beaches and ferry were great. Relaxing by the enclosed pool was the best, very quiet and peaceful. We have already made reservations for this year and would recommend to anyone.
