Photos and Description of the 3rd Arrondissement Le Marais vacation apartment rental Loft like apartment in the heart of the Montorgueil area of the Marais.

The flat is on the 2nd floor of the courtyard building on Rue Greneta. The result of this is a virtually silent space, free from the street noise of surrounding Paris. This 68 square metre flat is organized to have 2 separate sleeping areas, making it a 2 bedroom as needed. Upon entering, the guest enters into an entry lounge, containing a sofa-bed with a double mattress and a wall of cupboards for storing clothing and luggage. This first room is separated from the double living area by a large sliding door - when open, the spaces are joined to make a large, sunny, loft-like space, and when closed, the entry becomes a quiet separate room for reading or sleeping. The double living and dining area runs the length of the apartment and is illuminated by a wall of windows on one side. The first lounge area is furnished with an ample leather sofa (also a double sofa bed), two luxurious Napoleon-style armchairs, and TV, DVD, and wireless high-speed internet.

On the edge of the Marais and just next to rue Montorgueil, this spacious apartment is tucked back into the courtyard of a quiet building on a tranquil pedestreet in the 2nd Arrondissement. The Montorgueil district is centred around rue Montorgueil, a primarily pedestrian street which is a 'rue des commercants' - or shopping street par excellence. This street is packed with all of the little shops any Parisian (or visitor) could want - greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers, bakeries (including Stohrer, a bakery and patisserie dating from 1730) flower shops, chocolate shops, wine stores, and even a few gelato shops. Restaurants and cafes abound, as well as the scores of boutiques in the surrounding streets. The Musee du Louvres is a 15mn walk. Gare du Nord is a 5-10 mns taxi ride away. Closest metros are Reaumur Sebastopol and Etienne Marcel line 4 and 3.

There is a second sofa bed which would accommodate another couple in the living room. We can also sleep someone on a fold out single bed which can go in the second bedroom or living room.

Happy times in Rue Greneta

We enjoyed the superb location in the heart of the Montorgueil- Rue St Denis pedestrian precinct - loads of interesting people, great places to eat, drink and buy essentials from - where after a few days one felt part of the community. Montorgueil is great - wonderful choice of coffee shops, wide range of restaurants with all cuisines, and superb food shops. It's only a stone's throw to Rue Etienne Marcel and excellent brand name clothes shopping, and a stroll to Les Halles and the Pompidou Centre. The nearest Metro stations at Sentier and Etienne Marcel are only 400 metres walk north or south. The apartment is clean, light and spacious, safe and secure, and quiet. The only negatives are squeaky floorboards and a compact bedroom, but these hardly detract from the positives. We appreciated the attention to service provided by the agents' employees, especially Tara. We would recommend this to friends, and in fact, hope to come again next year.

My family and I just returned from Paris and we had the most wonderful time there. The apartment felt just like home and was large enough for the five of us. It was on a quiet street very near to the Metro. Around the corner was a fantastic street with everything that you could need from a baker to cheese shops and cute little cafes. The apartment itself worked out great and it was clean and modern. I would recommend this apartment to anyone planning to stay in Paris. Paris is a beautiful city and being able to come home at the end of a long day and relax with a glass of wine was perfect. Michele was our contact and she was very helpful and was there to meet us upon our arrival in Paris. This apartment helped us enjoy our stay in the City of Lights so much.

Wir nächtigten für eine Woche an der Rue Greneta 34 mit drei Erwachsenen. Das Apartement war ausreichend ausgestattet. Die Küche fiel etwas dürftig an Geschirr aus (Teller, Besteck). Ansonsten war alles vorhanden. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und zentral. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direkter Umgebung (Bäckerei Paul war ausgezeichnet). Das Apartement war sauber und gross genug für drei Personen. Paris ist immer eine Reise wert, und wir werden sicherlich einmal wieder kommen.
