Beautiful Pool Villa - with free WI-FI and game room

UPDATED*: We stayed at this property in November (2012) after staying in the same neighborhood this previously in April 2012. (The home we had such an excellent experience with was already booked for the dates we wanted to visit in November.) Unfortunately, we cannot say the same with this rental. The first night we discovered the sheets were dirty, verified by the body hair in the sheets in multiple bedrooms. When we went to wash the sheets we discovered the washer was broken. After a call to the maintenance crew the next morning, the crew came in and started the washer with a pair of pliers and apologized for the absence of toilet paper in the house and offered “a free day of pool heat” for the inconvenience.We had to call the maintenance crew out again later because the microwave stopped heating (turned on/no heating) and the upstairs shower door would not close. Other mentionable problems: the downstairs bedroom's TV would only randomly work; the barstools in the kitchen were so rickety they were a hazard (probably due to people being rough on them in previous stays). Also, prepare yourself to limit yourself to 2-towels/bath cloths per bathroom for your stay. With all of the time I had to spend waiting on maintenance crews, or driving to buy normal provided essentials such as toilet paper. I would also like to inform potential renters that the owner of the property is withholding our security deposit from us because of my review of the property. I had to contact the owner weeks later (after zero communication from owner) regarding the return of the deposit. When the owner finally replied to the email, he stated he had to “verify into my claims" on my review and wanted me to provide "evidence" regarding my review. He did not reply regarding the return of my deposit. I then had to inform the property owner that the management company and he were contacted directly immediately with the problems at the time of the stay. After much conversation the owner, he has now decided that we provided what they believe to be false statements AND that we are responsible for a new microwave. This, after notification at the time of the problem and showing the management company the problems during the stay at the house.The owner has also stated that he would like us to be legally responsiblefor rental losses because of our review. So I suggest potential renters beware that you risk losing your deposit if you express any problems with your stay on a review.
