Beautiful cottage... lake.. not so much

The cottage is beautiful, absolutely surpassed our expectations, as well as the patio area being exceptional. The hot tub was a big hit.
The "lake," is more of a glorified pond. It does state in the description that it is 200 acres, which sounded big to us, but I have learned otherwise (compared to Houghton Lake, which is 20000 acres), so do your research there. Also mentioned before, swimming from the beach or dock is not possible, we had been told there was a sandy area the kids could play in, but it was covered in goose poop.
A couple other things-- watch out when doing laundry, the water has rust in it & stains whites/light colors. The house is surrounded by trailers. The pizza place right down the street was really good.
All in all, the house was a great place to stay and was a great price. We really enjoyed the house and the grounds, but the lake was a little disappointing for us.
