House, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

Located in historic McCloud at the base of beautiful Mt. Shasta, our home easily accomodates a family get together. The master bedroom with a queen bed is located downstairs. A queen sofa sleeper is located in an extension of the living room. The upstairs is a large dorm room with two queens, two extra long twins and a cot if needed.

Bathrooms are located upstairs and down with showers only. There is a fully equipped kitchen and delightful sun room. During the summer we have a gazebo with table for outdoor dining and relaxing.

McCloud is located at the base of Mt. Shasta. It is within minutes of the Mt. Shasta Ski Bowl and McCloud Reservoir. Lassen National Park is about two hours to the south and Lava Beds National Monument is about two hours to the north. There are many fishing opportunities and wonderful nature hikes within a few miles. Shasta Lake is about 45 miles away and McCloud reservoir is about 10 miles away. McCloud Golf Course (9 holes)is about 5 minutes from our home, Mt. Shasta Resort (18 holes) is about 15 minutes and Lake Shastina (27 holes) and Fall River Golf course are within an hour's drive. Burney Falls is a 45 minute drive and Fowlers (three sets of falls) is less than 30 minutes away. The McCloud River is known for its excellent fishing opportunities.

About Lou Meier

We inherited this home from our parents who put years of love and improvements into it to make it a great place for family get togethers. Every holiday and summer vacation we (their two children) and our children would gather for good times in 'Meierhaus'.

We know it would be a comfortable home for you and yours.

Very convient to fishing the McCloud and the Upper Sac.Very CLEAN! This house has everything you need. Just bring poles and clothes. LOVED the sunroom and back deck. Yard was sunny, private and had nice grass. Fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. Priced better than other McCloud properties.We feel we have found "our spot". The only thing lacking was internet access, but it is available at the coffee shop in town.We will be back.

McClouds small town welcoming hospitality and it's wonderful out door experiences keeps us coming back. We welcome the chance to come up and pay our respects to family buried here & near by as well as celebrating Family Reunions in this town of so many great memories.

An excellent value for large or small family or group and a wonderful place to add to your own memories.

Now that I have retired, we look forward to staying longer each trip.

Amazing house, loved it

We took the house last weekend and absolutely loved it. The house was amazing and had everything we needed. Definitely coming back for a longer stay. We'd love to have another breakfast in the beautiful sun room :)
The owner was quick to respond to my request and offered us a great deal. And we absolutely loved the manager who handed us the keys and showed us around the house. I've already recommended the house to some of my friends. Thanks for letting us stay here:).

Family Reunion

Our family had a reunion in McCloud and this was such a friendly, family experience. We came from MN, CO, Boston so it was fun to have the home setting for our family. Some of us camped at the nearby city park while some stayed at the home.

Owner's Response: Our home is a great place for family gatherings as the upstairs is a dorm room. We would recommend you have a car, There is very little public transportation.
