New on rental market - provisioned with new mattresses, linens, kitchen supplies and everything you need for a great vacation. Begin your day with spectacular sunrises over the harbor. Enjoy the convenience of town beach only steps away. Walk, run or bike through the charming village or take the bike path to Fairhaven. Plan your days at the beach or on the water (kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, fishing) or exploring the local area. We are close to Boston, Providence, Plymouth, New Bedford, Newport, Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket for sightseeing.

Village Activities:

Literally steps to Town Beach and Shipyard Park to enjoy band concerts, square dances, teen dances and various festivals throughout the summer. Walk to town wharf to watch local fisherman and boaters or the Wednight night yacht club race. As you walk around the village stop into one of the local restaurants or the Mattapoisett Historical Society Museum and Carriage House, or see Salty the Seahorse and Ned's Point Lighthouse. Great house as described on VRBO. Owners were very responsive and had family near-by to help out. Outside grounds were great for the grand-kids and the view of the ocean and sail boats was wonderful. Town is cozy and quiet, a relaxig time for everyone. House was well furnished with towels, bedding and places to sit. The little ones loved the outside shower! I'm a cook and the kitchen was great, found what I needed, nice big dining room table fit everyone. Owner's Mom even brought us some homemade cookies! We went sailing, clam digging, swimming, shopping, and hiking all just right there. Thanks!

Home away from home

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation in this lovely "home away from home" rental. Mattapoisett is a wonderful community with restaurants and things to do.
The location with its harbor view and walks in town was great. The yard was beautiful and had we had lovely outdoor dinners on the patio. Upon arrival the house was very clean and neat. The house itself was indeed fully furnished for comfort and convenience... towels, fully applianced and stocked (dish/cookingware) kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. We particularly liked the first floor bedroom with its own bath for my elder mom. The owners were wonderful and considerate to deal with..providing fans and a window a/c unit to the 1st floor bedroom just days before our arrival as a heat wave was due that weekend. Also having cable Fios wifi internet was great!! Probably the only negative comment was that the the two upstairs bedrooms were still warm despite the fans and opening the skylights. My husband and I would definitely recommend this rental and hope to come back next year!! Truly a lovely vacation!

North Street Rental

This is such a special getaway located in the heart of the quaint village of Mattapoisett with fabulous harbor views. My son was getting married, and I wanted a very convenient location for my family. The Jordans have described this carriage house perfectly, but then there is so much more. This fabulous open floor plan offers comfortable living space with all the amenities we could ever expect. It was a true vacation for those who had come from NY, Philly and California. The owner was so gracious and came and introduced herself the morning we were departing. It's a perfect beach house in a location that is unsurpassed. Mattapoisett is a well kept secret from the Cape, and this home is truely a special treasure by the sea. We certainly are looking forward to returning.

A real gem - perfect for families with children

We stayed in this lovely and well appointed Mattapoisett home for Memorial Day weekend and could not have been more satisfied. The house has everything you need for a relaxing seaside vacation. The owners have thought of everything from high-quality linens to board games for the kids.

We spent much of our time playing in the yard, lounging in the hammock and exploring the local shoreline. The picturesque town of Mattapoisett is at the doorstep and there are wonderful state parks and seashores only a short drive away.

This was a wonderful weekend in a beautiful and lovingly attended home- all just a short drive from the Boston metro area. We will definitely visit again.
