We have lived on Balboa Island since 1983 and have loved every minute. We raised our children here.

The Owner purchased this house in 1998
Why The Owner chose Balboa Island

It is our home, not a vacation rental.

What makes this house unique

Walking around the island- taking the ferry to the peninsula to have dinner near the ocean- Sitting on the Bay with a good book- Watching our family build sandcastles and play games on the sand- Shopping in town- Eating at the excellent restaurants.

Cozy and Convenient!

We had a lovely week long stay at this cozy, well-equipped and convenient island home. Comfy beds, private and quiet, yet just off the main street of shops and restaurants.

Beautiful Property

I had a wonderful stay on Balboa Island and couldn't have found a
nicer place to stay than this duplex.  What you see is what you get.
It's beautiful and well maintained inside and out with all new
furniture, carpeting, washer, kitchen appliances and accessories.
Everything is impeccably clean, from inside the kitchen cabinets to
the dresser drawers, and the kitchen is well stocked, making you feel
right at home.  I especially enjoyed my morning coffee on the upstairs
porch and the short minute walks to the bay.  As a user of VRBO, this
place exceeded my expectations and I now hold a new standard for other
VRBO homes.  I would highly recommend this place to my friends and
family.

A reunion for 6 women who were classmates MANY years ago in high school.

Absolutely wonderful! The property was exceptionally clean, decorated exquisitely, very close to the bay (only a few houses) and a very short walk to a grocery store. We walked the perimeter of the island viewing the beautiful flowers and homes. The ferry and the pavillion were so close that we could walk to enjoy those "adventures". The pictures accurately reflected the rental's appearance. The porch was the biggest hit! We spent every morning and evening there. It was an added plus to have the property manager, Mary, working right on the island (although we didn't need to bother her for anything). She is a delightful woman who we visited a couple times, just to thank her and to talk. Everything was provided by the owners, from toilet paper to beach toys. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a wonderful place to vacation on "the island". I would definitely want to return to this property in the near future.
