About Anna Sechi

My husband and I have been married since 1988 and we have two grown up girls Viola ,23 years old and Agnese 20.

Anna Sechi purchased this chateau / country house in 2007

Why Anna Sechi chose Capannori

My husband works for an important company and he has always been spending weekends doing open air works in the garden,as this is a way to relax. So far, he was dying to the idea of buying an olivegrove. When we found this property, with a little house inside,it was love at first sight. The little house had to be restored and it became a big house. It was very expensive so we decided to rent it.Hence, during the rental period, from spring to autumn,

my husband takes care of the garden, the oliveyard and the pool.My daughters, Anca,a friend of ours and I, take care of the house. It is a really nice way to be in contact with people coming from all over the world. Please, come to visit us,we are looking forward to meet you.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

The property is at the top of a hill and there is a spectacular view on the little medieval hamlet of S.Andrea di Compito.

The first time we saw it, we felt in love with two lemon trees standing at the main entrance of the house and a fig tree in front of it.It was like to be in a picture, that's why we did everything we could in order to keep them. When you walk into the olivegrove, it seems like the time has been stopped. This place is so quiet, and makes us feel so relaxed, that seems to be in peace with the rest of the world.

A Tuscan home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Anna and Angelo’s little piece of Heaven in late May through mid June,2014. After meeting them at McDonald’s in Lucca and then following them up the road to the house, we found ourselves looking down at the most beautiful view of the little village of San Andrea di Compito and the mountains surrounding it. Then, the house. What a treat. And old stone house renovated and enlarged, it was the perfect holiday getaway. Outside the living room and kitchen, we sat at the under the fig tree to enjoy breakfast while listening to the church bells in the valley below. The house is so well appointed, large rooms, comfortable furniture and a friendly kitchen with a large table and seating for eight.

But the house is not the only attraction. Anna and Angelo are the best. They greeted us with ingredients for our first evening meal and a bottle of wine. Anna told us about the local restaurant – “Tre Tiglia” – where we had dinner and met the owner, Katia. We also enjoyed “La Conca” in the little town of San Ginese where we were treated like family. Shopping was so easy, from the supermarket near McDonald’s to the smaller market in San Ginese. The house is only about 15 minutes from the walled city, even closer to the autostrada. Easy travel to Pisa, Via Reggio, Carrara, Cinque Terra and of course, Florence and Siena.

We were at the house the weekend of June 2, a National Holiday. We got a flat tire on our way down the mountain heading for Lucca. There was no one to help us and EVERTHING was closed for the holiday weekend. Anna and Angelo came to our rescue. They drove our car to the local car park, contacted their mechanic, made arrangements to have the car picked up and taken to the tire shop in Lucca, and then drove us to meet a cousin who was able to take us to rent a car. All of this on a holiday!

Anna and Angelo became our family away from home.

The house, the view, the ambiance and the Sechis. We will return!

MAGICAL VIEW AND SERENE SETTING

  • 5 of 5

A lovely home in a beautiful setting - we really enjoyed our time at Traimonti, where we spent a week there in July 2014. Overlooking the quaint ancient village of San Andrea Di Compito and the green hills beyond, Traimonti is a reflection of Anna and Angelo’s dream, an idyllic spot nestled in an extensive olive plantation. The house is well-appointed and designed and built to the highest standards - more than enough space for a family or two couples. The weather was good during our stay, and we really enjoyed spending time at your pool, a pool with perhaps the very best view in the world! Other highlights for us included exploring and walking around Lucca - a most picturesque city - and several dinners at Tre Tigli, where the staff are very friendly and the pizzas quite delicious, thin and crisp. On our last night we went to see Madame Butterfly at Torre del Lago, which was very special and a great end to our stay. Thank you for being prepared to allow us to stay for a little while in this magical setting, it was such a super stay, and we hope to return someday. Thank you Anna and Angelo, we enjoyed meeting you both.

fantastic holidays that met all our expectations

  • 5 of 5

It is difficult to say what we loved most about our stay as we enjoyed every minute of it. The house was just perfect with all sorts of facilities and comforts and Anna and Angelo were the perfect hosts always friendly and helpful. They suggested places to visit and small nice restaurants both in the surroundings and in Lucca; on our arrival they even took us to the supermarkeT!

We often went to Lucca as it is only 15 minutes away and visited many other lovely small towns and villages, but we always loved getting back home and relaxing among the olive trees by the swimming pool.

We have recommended this place to friends and relatives as we think it's good value for money and it' a good place to recharge your batteries.

Spacious house in an idyllic setting

  • 5 of 5

We (six of us, 4 adults and 2 children) had a wonderful time at the stone house, and didn't want to leave. Anna and Angelo took the time to escort us to the house and show us around, and remained available in case any questions came up. The house was spacious (larger than we anticipated from the photos) with a well appointed kitchen for those who enjoy cooking, and had a wonderful yard and view. After a busy day sight-seeing we could retreat to our country home and enjoy the patio while the children played in the yard without a care in the world. Bliss! We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place! This was easily one of our favourites on our holiday. The villa is beautifully maintained, had everything we needed and is situated in a great little village. Anna and her husband gave us all the information we needed on the accommodation, as well as things to do while we were there. They provided us with some supplies such as pasta and sauce, which we made the most of! Our children enjoyed the pool and we loved the view of the surrounding countryside. There is a really good local restaurant, serving great pizzas, and the staff were very friendly. Thanks Anna!

Great place in a beautiful surrounding

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this house with the two, for one week in this beautiful surrounding. The house is very spacious and actually two big for two persons. With three bad- and bedrooms and and a big open kitchen you have everything you need for a relax stay. The garden has a great view on a small medieval city. We have explored the area with Lucca and Pisa and also the beach nearby. Anna, the owner of the property will make sure that everything is in place for a wonderful stay so if you are looking for a perfect spot, you'll know it! We hope to come back soon!
