We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this apartment-which is only 10 minutes from the airport. It is beautifully appointed with the most amazing views of the Medieval city. The road is blissfully quiet and we woke every morning to just birdsong .It is the perfect place for a chilled out weekend or week! The apartment itself was immaculate and very comfortable,everything is catered for and it is situated perfectly between the old city and the new so there is lots to see with very little walking.The owners even left us a bottle of the local champagne on arrival which was really thoughtful. We will ,without a doubt, return. - Stephanie

My sister and myself have just returned from a four night stay in apartment Monet, it was fantastic. The property was very well equiped and it is perfectly situated, just a stones throw away from the ancient walled Cite. Yes, the bells of the nearby churches were to be heard, but it all added to the experience. The current photographs on the webpage do not show all the excelent features of Aparment Monet. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Just Perfect!

We have just returned from 10 days in Carcasonne staying at apartment Monet. It is situated less than 5 mins from the cite where there are an abundance of fantastic restaurants and shops. The appartment is very clean and very comfortable with every thing you need to make your stay enjoyable. The location is blissfully quiet and in the evening you can sit drinking wine and staring at the lit cite from the living room window which we never bored of. For a longer stay I would recommend a car to get to beach at Narbonne and even as we did spend a night in Barcelona just a coupe of hour drive away. We will certainly be back asap even if just for a weekend as its a great place to relax and recharge. The owners as well as Inga were incredibly helpful and nothing too much trouble.

First French Holiday

We stayed in apartment Monet for a week in June. We found it very clean and well appointed. The owners were kind enough to organise the apartment to be ready for us early, as we arrived in the morning from Scotland. Thanks to Inga for organising this, she was very helpful. It was great to be able to dump our bags! The medieval Cite is stunning and the view from the window at night was beautiful when it was lit up. Cite restaurants were very good. We felt a car hire would have been better for us to get around more out of town.

Week in Carcassonne staying in Monet

Absolutely fell in love with the cité and the apartment. The view from the window is mesmerising, especially at night when floodlit. The apartment has everything you need , the fan was great on warm nights! Everything is in easy walking distance and Inga (property contact) was very helpful with information. The cité itself was fascinating and the restaurants were very good value for money. Carcassone airport is small but efficient and taxi fares (we arrived Sunday) were €20 but only €14 for the weekday return. There is the airport bus which stops around the town for only €5 per person. Best buy was bottle of local red wine €2.50 and it was lovely.
We hope to go back again.
