The sight of the Gulf with its emerald waves will call you to cross the street and find the little used public access stairs down to the wide sugar sand beach. After a relaxing swim or stroll you'll find a warm, inviting home built and fully outfitted for easy beach living. Blue Mountain Beach is small beachfront community, one of the fun and funky jewels that are the towns strung along county road C-30A. This scenic little track winds through lush pine-forested dunes, past spring fed lakes and gulf vistas. Check out Dune Allen, Grayton Beach, and Seaside, each just a short hop away and each with its distinct offering of shops, restaurants, galleries, parks, cultural events, and yes, more beaches. You will not see a high rise anywhere. Back in Blue Mountain Beach you'll find just about anything you need among the little shops and businesses scattered about. Need serious groceries? There's a Publix market 5 minutes away, and the very finest of fresh seafood markets at Goatfeathers, one mile away.
Back at the house enjoy the gulf view and it's breezes as you look out from one of the two front porches; one huge with dining and seating areas and the other smaller, just off the master bedroom. Or hang out on the back deck with its quiet breakfast spot just off the kitchen. Enjoy the new sound system and flat panel TV in the cool and spacious den on the main floor. Lure the kids to their own upstairs den with board games, TV and DVD player. Sleep like a champion beneath your ceiling fan after an evening beach walk beneath the brilliant Milky Way. Wake up, and say, I found it!

Why Robin Leake chose Blue Mountain Beach
We used to go to Yucatan 4 or 5 times a year. In the late eighties, we discovered the amazing Emerald Coast and have returned frequently ever since. Days are spent mostly on the beach and in the evening there are several consistently brilliant restaurants nearby. Shopping of every sort is close by. Mostly, this small area of northwest Florida possesses a special atmosphere, a natural beauty, and a restorative power unlike any other place we have found.
