Calm, cool, and relaxing stay!
My family, from all over the south/southwest, met up at this house for a fun vacation. This house was large enough to accommodate my husband, myself, my 3 kids, my sister and her baby, and my parents. We could have easily added 2-3 more people, too! This house was the perfect size. We were all able to have our own rooms so we could have privacy when we wanted it. My kids (ranging in age from 5 - 10) were able to fit quite well in the kid's room. It consisted of a bunkbed with the lower bunk being full sized, plus a twin bed. The location, though right on a golf course, still felt like it was tucked away in the wilderness. We were able to see elk, raccoons, and smaller critters like squirrels and chipmunks. The mountain air was so nice and fresh and the weather was nice and comfortably cool during the day. The nights got chilly, which made sleeping under the covers very enjoyable! We also enjoyed using the fire place at night!
Overall the house was great! All the finishes are very modern and upgraded. The jacuzzi in the master bathroom was quite a hit, too! ... The first night the pilot light was out on the water heater, but the owner quickly got someone out to fix that, which we really appreciated! The only thing I would have done differently was to bring more of my own kitchen items. Ex: spatulas, a hand mixer ... Sometimes cooking was a little inconvenient because of the lack of kitchen supplies, but we made it work! This aside, we really enjoyed our stay at this house and we're already thinking about staying here again next year!
