Me and my family (2 daughters, 8 & 11 years old) have stayed in the Sunset Bay Apartments 3 times during our last three summer holidays, and we are thinking of going back again this summer. Beautifully situated, just across the town of Lefkada, which means you can easily park and enjoy the busy streets and nightlife of Lefkada, and be back in the peace and quiet of your apartment within just 5 minutes (by car). At day you see the ships sailing by, at night you see the lights of Lefkada in the distance. And you can enjoy absolutely stunning sunsets every afternoon from your veranda, I just couldn't stop shooting pictures!
The apartments are very nicely furnished with a complete modern kitchen and very comfortable beds, which for me usually is a problem in most hotels I have stayed in. Other small details which make life comfortable: a big fridge and even a washing machine, electric shutters, big teakwood chaise-longues and umbrellas around the pool, beach towels for everyone, a separate parking spot for every apartment etc. Towels and linen were changed twice a week. The kids absolutely loved the swimming pool, (which is lighted, for a romantic swim in the evening).
For us Sunset Bay was a perfect starting place to enjoy Lefkada island: we visited almost every beach on the island. The closest sandy beach is only a 5 minute drive away. These are not the average rental apartments you see in most Greek tourist areas, but resemble the style, comfort and luxury of a 5-star hotel (without the room service of course ;-). So therefore: highly recommended!
