Welcome to the Beach House, your home from home. On the front line in 'Jardines de Zahara', the last and most luxurious of the beach complexes, this house has it all - especially as we just spent a fortune on refurbishment to make a lovely house absolutely stunning! (2013). Enjoy the sunset from your bedroom terrace or the chill terrace, stroll along the beach to any number of bars and restaurants next to the beach. In July and August, there are bars on the beach, usually offering cocktails, drinks, ice cream, cooked food, sunbeds and parasols. All of this on a wide expanse of golden sand that stretches for 12 km around the bay. Between June and September, every restaurant within walking distance is open. You really could just stay home, walk to the supermarkets, the bars, the cafes and the restaurants and relax in the beautiful gardens and fabulous pool (open mid June to beginning September with Pool Attendants)of Jardines de Zahara.
Out of summer, life in the Beach House is still great. There are bars and restaurants within walking distance but now you can drive and park anywhere! In the village of Zahara there are bars and restaurants open every month of the and there is more time to get to know people than during the summer madness. The beach is wonderfully empty except for a few people walking with their dogs and other friends.
The village of Zahara is just 40 minutes' walk along the beach from the house or 10 minutes in the car. You will find many more restaurants, the produce market, supermarkets, a gas station (new in 2010) and the Artisan Market within the walls of the Pirates Fortress during the long, warm summer nights.
Further afield are the Roman Ruins of Bolonia, whale-watching boat trips from Tarifa, the pine forests above Barbate, Trafalgar Point (where the famous sea battle took place), the surfing beaches of El Palmar, the white village of Vejer de la Frontera, the shopping mall and railway station of Bahia Sur, the ancient city of Cadiz, the sherry centre of Jerez, where you can also watch the fabulous Royal Andalucian horses perform in the Spanish equivalent of the Viennese Royal Riding School.
Frankly, the list is long - but life is so very good in and around the Beach House that not many of our guests ever get to the end of it.
