Old Connaught House is located on one of the quiet back roads of Little Bray. The apartment is on the second floor with an elevator providing easy access for those times you are toting luggage, etc. It offers magnificent views of Bray Head beyond the well manicured grounds. The apartment itself is spacious and has all the amenities of home. There is a local supermarket (SuperValue) nearby. Bray is within walking distance and there is easy access to public transportation. For those driving, the M-50 and N11 are moments away. This was a terrific location for either exploring Dublin City or heading south to visit Wicklow and Wexford. Sarah and Anne could not have been more helpful in making sure this was wonderful stay. Hope to see you again soon!
Old Connaught house was a real treat! On arrival we thought we landed in a Georgian movie. The house even looked better than the pictures on the website! And what a calm and serene area, being so close to lively Bray. The apartment was great and has everything you could wish for. Nice big beds, great kitchen. The tennis court was a big added bonus, especially for the girls (12 and 10), who wanted to play tennis every day. (tennis rackets available from owner). The views are great. Looking over the park, you see the sea and to your right Bays Head.
Bray is ideally located to make some nice trips. We can recommend walking the Wicklow mountains at Glendalough. Great views.
About 10 minutes drive from the apartment, there is a great viewing point, from where you can see over Dublin, the mountains etc. Ask one of the kind neighbours for directions.
We can also recommend, for those who love gardens, to visit the National Botanical gardens in Dublin. We have seen several botanical gardens, but this one is the best so far.
Also don't forget to go to Great Sugar Loaf mountain. The last part is steep and rocky, but worth it. The views are stunning!
Bray itself is nice to stroll through. Very nice to walk along the promenade. Great variety of shops, restaurants and pubs.
Siobhan, thank you very much for being so helpful!

We couldn't have found a better place than #21 at"Old Connaught"! It was all that we hoped for! Everything that we needed was there, including a well stocked kitchen with tea, spices etc. And what a view!! We loved everything about the suite and the house. The history and ambience of the house, and proximity to Bray, Wicklow and Glendalough area was a plus, and the wonderf
ul friendly & helpful neighbours really made our holiday in Ireland extra special! We took the Dart & Bus to Dublin and the weather was SUNNY for almost 2 weeks! The king size bed with memory foam was fantastic..we slept like babies! Many thanks to Sioban who was so helpful! It was ALL GOOD! Highly recommended!

Originally from Bray, we were looking for comfortable accommodation for 5 adults. Old Connaught House fit our requirements to a tee - no pun intended as Old Conna Golf Club is within walking distance!
Clean, safe, convenient, tranquil and reminescent of a bygone era, Old Connaught House is ideally located for sightseeing and helped restore our equilibrium from our fast pace here in Silicon Valley.
Siobhan is very helpful; the apartment is well stocked with everything you need and it was warm which is a big plus.
My California born and raised future son-in-law still gives it accolades. We certainly made a big impression. Thanks Old Connaught House.
By the way, the neighbours are über friendly.
The Old Connaught House is a beautiful place. We arrived there at night, mid-January, and I just said that if it was the sea at the bottom of the green we could view, then it was a fantastic place, one to live for. Waking up at dawn the next day… it was the sea... and Bray Head in one corner, and the green, and the woods, and Festina Lente – with the peace that emanates from it; and where we went a few times afterwards. The apartment is great, with it’s high, high ceilings, very confortable, decorated with very good taste, with all that is needed (but don’t forget to ask Siobhan for instructions about the pots).
We had recently adopted our young girl, about eleven months old when we got there. It was the perfect place for us four (daddy, mummy, Joaquim adopted when he was 15 days, then 10 years old, and baby Valentina) to complete our process of being a family, close the doubts and wounds that our baby might still carry, and move definitely as a whole.
Old Connaught House marked and became a landscape that will live inside us.THANK YOU!
We stayed in the lovely apartment in this beautifully located mansion near Killiney and it came up to all our expectations. It is perfect for four people, a little small for five. The kitchen is equipped perfectly and everything is well-kept. The view from all the rooms is stunning. If only we had brought our tennis rackets we could have played tennis on the private court on the grounds.
The area around the mansion is great and provides for every interest, whether walking in the Dublin mountains or along the beach in Killiney or Seapoint. Those who like traditional pubs can visit Johnny Foxes just a few miles from the mansion though the pich and put course opposite the pub is a lot of fun, too. We always come to visit family and like walking along the pier in Dun Laoghaite and over to Sandycove before going for a drink in Avoca's, which recently opened in Monkstown and serves excellent food.
As usual we had a wonderful time in Dublin though our accommodation added some extra flair to our much too short holiday. We are glad to have found this place and would really like to come back regularly.
The area has a country feel while being close to all that Dublin and North Wicklow has to offer. You are only 2 miles to main Dart line, 10 min drive to the LUAS and minutes to M50 motorway or for the more energetic a 20 min walk to Buses.
But you could just stay home and enjoy the views and great atmosphere.
