Trailside Condo - Walk out the door and ski down the trail to the Snubber Lift which takes you to the Base Area providing access to Sugarloaf's 45 miles of trails from novice to expert. The Loaf, as referred to by locals, has a 2800 vertical foot drop and a wide range of skiing and riding options from the East's only above tree-line skiing in the snowfields to the family friendly 3.5 mile Tote Road intermediate run. No need to drive once you get here as there is a free shuttle service right by the condo to take you to the Base Area lifts, shops, coffee shop, on-mountain grocery store, restaurants, nightlife; Sugartree Fitness Center with massage center, indoor pool, hot tubs, and racquetball; and Sugarloaf's Award winning daycare and children's ski programs. Shuttle service from the Base Area is available to the Library with internet access; Sugarloaf Grocery Store which is right across from the Library; Anti-Gravity Center with climbing wall, indoor skate park, trampolines, basketball court, walking track and fitness equipment; X-Country Outdoor Center with 100km of groomed and lighted cross country ski and snowshoe trails and ice skating rink with snack bar and equipment rental - all only about a mile away. During the winter there are 2 Snowflower Association hot tubs right out your door available for guest's use and the hill you skied down in the morning becomes a great sledding hill in the late afternoon. In the summer, drive or walk over to West Mountain and The Robert Trent Jones 18 hole Sugarloaf Golf Club & Golf School with restaurant recognized as #1 in New England's Top 100 Must Play Courses and ranked in the Top 100 of America's Greatest Golf Courses. Fly Fishing camps abound in the area in the summer and the Appalachian Trail crosses within .6 mi of Sugarloaf's peak and area hiking offers breath-taking views of the Western Maine Mountains.
