VILLA TRANQUILA: OCEAN VIEW - POOLSIDE - WALKING DISTANCE IN WEST END

Absolutely loved Villa Tranquila, it was home away from home.

The location, neighbours, where just what we wanted. Close to West End but still had quiet time.

The Villa was stocked with lots of towels, kitchen with all utensils needed, washer/dryer which came in handy, (less to pack). The pool only steps away from the door, the view --what can i say...

Can't wait to come back.

7-night stay in early December 2012. My seventh visit to Roatan. I've stayed a lot of different places -- houses, hotels, this condo -- and this place is well worth it.

Clean. Spacious. Comfortable. Very short walk to West End yet still quiet. 24-hour security. Private pool out the front door. Plenty of linens and towels. Full-service kitchen furnished more nicely than my own. Grill 30 feet from the kitchen. Washer / dryer in the unit is a huge plus -- I packed for the whole week in a bag that fit under the seat in front of me on the plane...Including my laptop! (It was an entirely reasonably small amount of extra $$$ for wireless service.)

Was it perfect? No...What is? A backup generator for the complex would be nice since the power also controls the water and the power does go out on the island sporadically. After 7 nights, though, that's the worst thing I can come up with to say about it. The reality is, you're probably not gonna do a whole lot better on Roatan...And nowhere in West End that I've been.

Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

After too many vacationless years, my wife and I spent 11 wonderful days at Villa Tranquilla. As others have noted, the condo is spotless, spacious, tastefully decorated and has every amenity one could want. The owners' information guide was very well thought out and useful. Also, the local property management team at RoatanLife were "on the spot" to attend to everything from airport transportation, greeting us at the condo to acquaint us with the unit, set us up with cell/internet service, and arrange any activities we were interested in throughout our stay. For example, they sent a local chef to prepare and serve a delightful anniversary dinner in our condo, sent a driver to take us the South Shore Canopy zip line tour, arranged a tee time at the Black Pearl (Pete Dye designed course at Pristine Bay), and had a rental car delivered to our door that we turned in at the airport a few days later. And all of this at no more cost than making your own arrangements and most activities can be billed on a single invoice at the end of your stay. Totally convenient! From our time in the West End we doubt there is a better place to stay. Villa Tranquilla is tops in location, amenities, cleanliness, and local hospitality. We initially went to Roatan to get away and rest. We will go back again because we loved Villa Tranquilla!
