Orr's Island Maine, Boat Works cottage

Boat Works Cottage was exactly what the doctor ordered for the two of us in early July. The house exceeded our expectations -- very simple, but beautifully done, tastefully decorated and furnished, very clean and well maintained. Although it appears that the owner may have plans to develop some surrounding building sites, this hadn't been done yet, so the house felt very private. We could not get enough of the gorgeous views of Harpswell Sound, and we lounged on the small deck at every opportunity.

The house (and Orr's Island in general) is very well situated, with easy access to Bath and Brunswick, two of our favorite towns in the area. We're already planning our return so that we can take advantage of some of the many small nature preserves/hiking areas close by. Debbie and the folks and Homes & Harbors were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We can't wait to come back, and would wholeheartedly recommend Boat Works to any couple looking for a really fantastic retreat.
