BIG THOMPSON RIVER, SNOW CAP VIEWS, HOT TUB (WALK INTO RMNP & TO YMCA)

Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 4.5 Baths (Sleeps 10)

AspenHaus Lodge is perfectly situated overlooking the Big Thompson River, with snow-cap views of the continental divide while backing up to Giant Track Mountain for the ultimate in end-of-road privacy. From our home it is just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center of Estes Park.

The main level great room has a spectacular floor-to-30 ft. ceiling river rock gas fireplace which is flanked by a surround sound audio visual system (with 2 flat screens); simply the ideal family gathering place with its adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area.

From the great room you can step out to the fantastic wrap-around deck to enjoy excellent mountain views along with the sights and sounds of the Big Thompson River... or take it all in from the 6-person hot tub or while cooking dinner on the Weber gas grill!

The cozy master bedroom has a double-sided gas fireplace shared with a jetted tub en suite. Open the deck doors and let the sounds of the Big Thompson lull you to sleep or step out to take in the perfectly clear Colorado sky where you might want to reach out to grab a star!

The second level of AspenHaus has two bedrooms (a king-sized bed in each), 2 private bathrooms and an amazing open loft area with picture windows framing the river, pine forest and snow-cap views. No artwork needed on these walls!

A second family room is located in the lower level where you can walk-out to meet wild turkeys and spot other wild life coming up the driveway! The bunk room with a full bath is also located on this level.

A one car attached garage space (with a spare refrigerator) comes with this rental. We also have a main floor laundry room.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river.

From the doorsteps of AspenHaus enjoy a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Lodge is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain home!

Please note: Our home is not available for group events, sorry!

What an awesome time- lovely cabin and amazing owners! We celebrated our wedding here with just our immediate family. WIth 6 adults and 1 child, there was more than enough room. My son really loved the HUGE fireplace and bunkbeds downstairs. Dinners were great in the kitchen. This review has taken me forever to write but we can't wait to go back. The owner even left us some of the most beautiful flowers for our nuptials upon check in. Loved the hot tub and master bath as well! Clean and perfect location!
Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to tell others about your stay at AspenHaus Lodge! We think that the location is perfect too...views of the Continental Divide AND the Big Thompson River, a short walk into the RMNP, a short drive into the town of Estes Park and some of our favorite restaurants within minutes!! Special thanks for your comment on how clean our home is; we owe that to our awesome housekeeper Sue and her Crew; and will be sure to tell her that you menioned it : ) Happy 1st Anniversary! Exceptional Home!

Our group of 9 (4 couples and our adult daughter) enjoyed 5 days in this beautiful home. The lodge décor throughout was very inviting and comfortable. The "open" kitchen, family, dining area was ideal for all of us gathering to cook, wine and dine, watch TV, play cards, and hang out. The kitchen was WELL equipped. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of towels and amenities in each bath. The cleanliness and organization of this home is superb! The owner is quick to respond and provides lots of information about the home and the area!
Elk, deer, turkeys, fox, and a coyote visited the yard (large windows provide wonderful views!). We loved the Emerald Lake and Sandlake Trails! Had a great meal at Dunraven. The Stanley Hotel tour was very interesting. And Halloween downtown Estes was great...they shut down the main street to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters.
I have rented vacation homes over the past 8 years...this is one of the best!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind words; but most of all thank you for your support of Estes Park (including us!). Your group had plenty of opportunity to change your destination after having heard the news about the flood...but never wavered in you enthusiasm to visit our beautiful town. We will be forever grateful to you, as will the other small businesses in our town. We hope that you find yourselves right back in Estes Park very soon : ) Mark and Sue, Owners

We met to celebrate our niece's third birthday. There were a total of 10 in our party. The house and setting was absolutely beautiful. Sue did a wonderful job of taking care of us - there was absolutely no detail missed. Our party was able to do some fishing, hiking, shopping in town and simply sit and enjoy Aspen Haus. We all had a wonderful time and were sad to go. I would definitely recommend staying at Aspen Haus when visiting Estes Park - you will not be disappointed!

Owner's Response: We recognize that your family could have celebrated in a number of locations...but chose to come to Estes Park in support of the small businesses who have suffered financially from the recent flood. Can't put into words how much that meant to us and our business friends. We will be forever grateful! Thanks so much! Mark and Sue, Owners

Aspen Haus Lodge exceeded our expectations. Our group was two couples looking to hike by day and lounge, cook, eat, and enjoy the hot tub by night. The rooms are enormous (particularly the bathrooms and the living room) but cozy. The house was immaculate, without a hint of wear. The amenities are wonderful, the kitchen and natural-gas outdoor grill were especially nice, and the owners are a pleasure to work with. We'll absolutely be back!

We have a group of 4 couples that have been getting together over Labor Day Weekend for 13 years and this property worked out great for us. Plenty of room for all to be together or to get away if you wanted to. The setting is beautiful - you feel like you are in the mountains by yourselves even though you are in a small development! It rained in the afternoons during our visit but as one of our party said, "what a great house to be able to sit and relax while you watch the rain!" The house is very well taken care of, clean and nicely equipped - you can tell these owners really care. Sue, the owner, is wonderful to work with! We definitely would stay at this property again.
