STUNNING VILLA WITH PANORAMIC LAKE VIEWS

Our family loved the house! It helped to make our engagement weekend a huge success.

It's very obvious that Katy and her family have spent many many hours creating the perfect home.

I recently had a small reception at the Hopwood Villa and had the pleasure of staying in the home for three days with several family members. When looking for a place to have my reception I became frustrated with my options. The idea of holding my reception at a country club or a restaurant was not the vision I had in my mind. After adding up the cost of renting a venue, renting hotel rooms and the expense of feeding my guests buffet food I decided to go in a different direction. I began looking at vacation rentals as an alternative option and I am so happy I did. When I walked through the front door of the villa my breath was taken away and I knew that this was exactly what I wanted. You will feel the love that the owners have put into this amazing home. The rustic romantic feel will make you want to kick your shoes off, grab a glass of wine and relax in one of the outdoor living spaces while taking in the breathtaking views. This home is kid friendly so no need to worry about the little ones. The home has expansive panoramic lake views that will amaze your senses. If you are looking to get away from it all then you have come to the right place. Why waste your time with stuffy hotels when you can have your own personal oasis?

We recently returned from 9 days at this stunning property. There were 16 of us ranging in age from 76 to 18 months and we all had a fantastic time. This was our first time staying at the Hopwood's but we all hope it won't be our last. The house was amazing! There was plenty of room for all of us as well as spaces where we could all gather. We had a couple of cooler days so we took advantage of the fireplaces and firewood that Katy had laid out. The guys hung out in the round room watching sports while the teenagers did movie marathons in the media room and others enjoyed the comfortable couches reading books and taking in the stunning views. The house has everything you could ask for including an extremely well stocked kitchen making cooking meals a joy. We took advantage of the orchard and the electric juicer as and had fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning and fresh made lemonade in the afternoon. The family also took advantage of the outdoor living areas as well in particular the wonderful pool and hot tub. The pool has a lap lane in addition to several places to sit and chat while relaxing in the water and enjoying the wonderful views. Looking at those views it might be hard to believe that you are 10 minutes from several grocery stores, shopping centers (which the teen girls loved) and 30 minutes from the San Diego airport. Some members of our group took advantage of the location to visit the San Diego Safari Park just down the road and Legoland but most of us never left the house except to take a hike on the nearby trails. The Hopwoods were gracious hosts - just a phone call away when we had a question and setting us up with amenities in each bathroom in case we forgot our own. We absolutely love this property and cannot wait to go back!
