SQUAW VALLEY SWEETNESS -- 3 BED/2 BATH

My family and I just stayed for a quick weekend in this wonderful home. Everything was perfect! My daughter loved playing pirates on the bunk beds. My husband bragged about his fire building skills each night. My niece and sister loved sitting on the couch watching movies. I loved everything about this charming Lake Tahoe home.

The beds were so comfortable and the duvet comforters made it hard to get out of bed in the morning, they were so thick and cozy.

This was my first time using Homeaway and the owner, Robert made planning and the stay easy. We will definitely visit again!

My husband and I rented this home with two other couples for this past NYE. It was absolutely perfect in every way! I'll talk about the owner and the logistical items first:

Rob was a pleasure to work with. He was responsive and provided us with all of the information (and more!) that we would need. He also gave us the name and contact information of a property manager and his assistant, should we run into any problems. We felt secure from the minute we booked the place.

Now, onto the house itself:

The location cannot be beat (not even five minutes down the hill to amazing skiing at Squaw Valley and The Village shops, restaurants and bars) and the accomodations were not only clean, but very tastefully decorated. The master bedroom upstairs is beautiful with a large King bed, private master bath, and nearly floor to ceiling windows that provide the most picturesque view of the snow. The family room, dining and kitchen area were perfect for our group. We were all able to fit on the comfy L-shaped couch and cozied up to the awesome vintage fire (there was plenty of firewood stocked up outside for our use). We were able to cook a family-style dinner in the kitchen (all cooking and eating utensils were there and worked perfectly) and the dining room table offered perfect seating with benches for all gathering around. The laundry room was a nice added bonus as well. Two-car garage worked perfectly for our cars to be inside from the snow. There were also sleds available, but we unfortunately ran out of time up there before we could use them. There are two tiny downfalls: the third bedroom had two sets of bunk beds so for us three couples, that meant t one of us had to deal with twin beds, but it really wasn't that big of a deal. Would be a GREAT house for two families with young kids. Adults could have the master and the other Queen bed and four kiddos could share the bunk bed room! Other thing is no cable TV. They did have nice TV with a DVD player and a wide selection of great DVDs though...and board games!

We are already all talking about how much we'd like to go back and do it again next year for NYE, or even just a weekend trip.Overall, a fantastic experience and we couldn't be happier. You will not regret renting this property. I highly recommend it.
