Villa was fine, a bit twee in that it has lots of very feminine knick-knackery, perhaps a worry if you have 'littles'. kitchen was very well equipped for a holiday let. Garden verry pretty and well tended owner who was downstairs watered eveymorning. Howling dog next door but otherwise very quiet and quite private, you are not really overlooked. Barbeque a bit basic but we used it nearly every day! Loads of cupboards and storage.Property clean, but use towels on sun lounges which dyed damp bathers yellow!. Eveything worked although the en-suite shower had a problem the owner was advised and there was a workman there when we left. Begur is a super place, pretty with good shops for food and browsing and there is lots to see in the immediate area.
We ate out at lunchtimes, the beach at pals and aguia blava and also in peratallada which is extremely pretty as is Pals inland. We also ate both at luch and in the evenings at the restaurant at the top entrance to the urbanisation which has a lovely terrace and is very good although fairly expensive.
There is a lovely footpath from calleta to llafranc and contrary to my guide book the market in parafrugell was not open on Monday morning!
There was no 'welcome pack' but there was dishwasher powder and washing up liquid, and one loo roll in each loo!
I would certainly recommend it to a friend but bear in mind that you are going to have to drive everywhere unless it is a fairly cool and you are an enthusiastic walker= it is very hilly!
Allow 2hours for trip back to Barcelona airport, we got held up for 30 minutes at one of the peage points!
